NDAA Protests End In Ironic Swarm Of Arrests (video)

The absurdity of America today never ceases to amaze. In fact, it has become so elaborate that one might even suggest it has reached a kind of poetic symmetry.
When a protest group is willing to stick their necks out to expose the horror of the National Defense Authorization Act and its open door strategy for unconstitutional arrest and indefinite detainment of American citizens, I have to stand up and applaud.
This is the kind of protest we need to see all over the country. Of course, any establishment system which is willing to dissolve the inherent liberties of its citizens certainly isn’t going to stand by quietly while they blatantly point out the injustice.
The Grand Central Terminal action featured in the video below is a perfect example of the swift and immediate stifling of peaceful dissent by an increasingly totalitarian government:
Responses to the event vary. Most people who have actually been exposed to the facts on the NDAA have expressed utter disgust and fury. Rightly so.
Some, however, have taken the old elitist mantra, perpetuated effectively by the Neo-Cons in their heyday, that if you are not for the system, then you are a danger to society. Not surprisingly, there are still plenty of useful idiots out there buzzing about like parasites in search of blood.
For those who would applaud these arrests, and suggest that they are well deserved, I would have to ask very pointedly; why?
Is it right to crush free speech as long as the message is offensive to you personally? Do peaceful protestors really present a legitimate threat to our national stability? Are they truly more dangerous than a corrupt government hellbent on assassinating the legal protections of our natural rights which have existed for centuries?
Would any supporter of the jackboot methodology like to explain to me in a coherent manner why they believe their skewed world view should be shielded from sincere questions? Please, I can’t wait to witness the kind of ridiculous mental gymnastics required to make such arguments palatable. If this kind of ignorance wasn’t so destructive, it might actually be entertaining.
The bottom line is, it doesn’t matter if these activists were in Grand Central Terminal, on the streets, or busting through the doors of the Oval Office. While New York authorities will attempt to argue property loopholes in free speech protections for Grand Central, or national security because of the vulnerability of the terminal, really, this has nothing to do with either.
This is about the removal of American voices from a room, and nothing more. If the message is going to be suppressed by the mainstream media, and shrugged off by representatives, then protesters must go to where the people are, and make the truth heard by whatever means necessary.
Ultimately, activism is about disturbing people’s normal mundane routines and shocking them out of their pop-culture stupor, even if for a moment. If we aren’t allowed to do that without constant police intervention, then the First Amendment is not being served, and then, my friends, we have a problem, a problem which should be forced down the throat of government with even more public action.

Pension troubles in store for retired workers as plans across Canada face deficits
By Kenyon Wallace
Toronto Star

When Ellen Sargent took a job as a purchaser with the City of Saint John in New Brunswick 26 years ago, she didn’t expect that living below the poverty line when she retired would become a possibility.
Like most municipal employees across Canada, Sargent was promised an indexed pension by the city as part of the terms of her contract — a pension that both she and the city would contribute to over the course of her employment.
But now the 55-year-old widowed retiree is facing the prospect of having to subsist on her $25,000 annual pension without it increasing to meet the rising cost of living.
That’s because the City of Saint John is struggling with a $165 million funding shortfall in its pension plan, and is attempting to make a number of contentious changes, including suspending pension indexing, to close the gap.

Nick Redfern is a freelance journalist that has been writing and researching the topic of UFO’s and the paranormal since the late 90’s. Nick is the author of: “The NASA Conspiracies”, “Memoirs of a Monster Hunter”, “Strange Secrets: Real Government Files on the Unknown”, “On the Trail of the Saucer Spies: UFO’s and Government Surveillance” and “Contactees” among others. In this program we focus on his latest book “The Real Men In Black: Evidence, Famous Cases, and True Stories of These Mysterious Men and their Connection to UFO Phenomena”. We begin our discussion about the people at the root of the men in black phenomena: Albert K. Bender, Gray Barker and John Keel. Then, we talk about some of the most interesting cases, reports and theories. Are the men in black simply government agents or could they be aliens, human genetic experiments, hybrids, clones, robots, time travelers or agents from an alien race? Since they often are reported in connection to UFO sightings, one of the more common theories about them is that they are sent out to warn eyewitnesses not to discuss their sightings. In other cases, because of their odd behavior, their mission seems to be to discredit the eyewitness of a UFO. We run through the different possibilities and discuss references made in movies and TV-shows and their influence on the phenomena.

Transcending The American Lockdown

Before It’s News
January 6, 2012
Hard to believe but it’s happened. What’s more alarming is how quickly and smoothly it’s been pulled off without an apparent whimper of protest.
Or so they’ve led us to believe. In reality there’s been a huge outcry from several corners about the virtual annulment of the Bill of Rights. The media’s just so air tight we’re not hearing a squeak.
That’s what’s scary.
And it’s worked.
Mainstream America has virtually swallowed the ocean of sanitized lies and egregious omissions it’s been dealt. The US is now officially part of the New World Order, by default. That’s what’s daunting. Any possibility of an uprising by the many is almost past.
Almost.
But you know what?
It’s always been that way. The few with the truth have always led the way. And real change for the better inevitably followed the eventual collapse of every corrupt empire.
Psychotropic Stupor
Why don’t the masses get it? Well, if you’re not paying attention this might be puzzling. But if you are watching with any clarity of thought it’s obvious. The medicated masses are benumbed. They’ve succumbed to a massively manipulated program of social engineering.
Chemically designed water, air, food and drugs along with a complicit mind-numbing media have given birth to an exponentially expanding generation of gnomes that carry out the whims of a corporo-fascist dictatorship that exceeds the dreams of George Orwell.
We’re here…before the asteroids hit and after the antelopes play, we’re here.
And to the awake it’s a bit like a dream where you can’t scream.
The Pizza Oven Dream
A couple of years ago I had a striking dream that woke me up out of a sound sleep. I was watching someone standing in front of a pizza oven in a dazed, transfixed state. He was a typical youngish overweight American just staring at the fire from about 3 feet away from the oven. But the fire was growing, steadily. And as it did he didn’t move. He was totally fixated into such a state he couldn’t even feel the heat.
As the fire grew in intensity I could see his flesh literally starting to cook. And he still didn’t flinch. At this point I was screaming at him at the top of my lungs imploring him to move, and still nothing. The scene so horrified me it woke me up as I was screaming.
I was living in Southern California near the beach at the time and we were getting chemtrailed something fierce everyday. While I had my windows rolled up and the aircon on recycle as I do on spraydays, I’m always befuddled and horrified by the hundreds of joggers, bikers and surfers I drove by each day who were completely ignorant of their demise under their poisonous chemical skies. So I think this vivid dream was an expression of how I feel watching this horrific reality play out on the benumbed, completely unsuspecting masses.
Sound freakishly appropriate? Did to me.
Where Is The Revolution?
The outrageousness of our takeover is beyond comprehension, as I’ve said many times. In fact, tyranny knows no humanity. It’s a metastasizing monster that has a life if its own. Our reaction to it is the issue. And you can’t help but believe we each meet different fates depending on how we lived our lives here and either acquiesced or stood up to such monstrous encroachments on natural and personal sanctity.
And that’s where the true drama lies.
But I want to again address the role the awake can play. Admittedly it’s hopeful, conscious conjecture and responsible action that leads to positive change, as has been the case during any and every true, good revolution in history. And however we are compelled to participate, every human with any receptivity will feel the pull to activate when faced with confrontation of any kind. And they’ll either discard it or interpret it into action of some sort and at some level, how little or how much.
And all according to many factors.
And Once Awake, What can We Do?
I don’t know. I only know my personal reality one day at time. But I think I know people, at least to some degree. And they’re generally not ready. The masses are going to fall for the whole false, pre-programmed enchilada. And that’s a big part of what we need to prepare for.
And for the awake? Communicate, love all those you can, spread the word, but be realistic. The shit will hit the fan…and already is.
Speak truth and let the chips fall where they may. The Universe will pick them up. But respond to conscious awareness and enter the fray accordingly.
But please, don’t be an unresponsive slackard.
Love, Zen

End the Lie
January 9, 2012
Amid heavy criticism for failing to stop violence in Syria, the Arab League has renewed calls for the regime to end bloodshed and open its borders to more observers. As the carnage continues, many say they are paying too high a price for change.
The observers held a meeting with the governor of Damascus, Hussein Makhlouf, on Sunday and visited a local hospital to meet with relatives of the victims of recent violence.
As the country edges ever closer towards civil war, hundreds of people from both sides are losing their lives every month – opposition, pro-regime, civilians, soldiers and children alike.
On Friday, another suicide bombing in Damascus was yet further evidence of the escalating conflict. The attack hit the central Damascus neighborhood of al-Midan, killing 26 and wounding dozens. And all this has continued to take place with Arab League observers on the ground.
“We went to the League and asked them to help,” a local woman said. “But they did not want to listen to us and did not respond to our complaints.”
Exactly who is responsible for what is happening in the country right now remains far from clear.
In an effort to shed light on the situation, people have continued to risk their lives getting information out of the country. Gene Sharp, a leading expert on non-violent revolution, calls the actions of the Syrian people “quite amazing.”
“Even though so many people have been killed, they are going out on the streets,” said Sharp, a senior Scholar at the Albert Einstein Institution in Boston. “When the population loses its fear, that is a great achievement towards success.”
But the opposition itself is becoming increasingly divided, with more and more Army deserters joining its ranks and calling for a violent overthrow of the government.
“The danger now is that those soldiers who have been moved by these developments and defected from the Syrian army have concluded that they need to use violence to fight the rest of the Syrian army. If they want to succeed, that is not the way to do it,” explains Sharp.
The Arab League has once again renewed calls for the violence from all sides to end, having met to review their findings so far.
All across the country right now people are fighting tooth and nail for the right to determine their own future.
Despite government promises, many people now feel that simply too many lives have been lost, too much blood has been shed, for anything other than real change to be an option.
