The Syrian Army has launched attacks on armed groups in Damascus, Press TV reports.
The battles happened on Friday, several hours after Syrian troops destroyed three command centers of the insurgents on the outskirts of the city of Hama, which is located in the center of the country.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011. Damascus says outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorists are the driving factor behind the unrest and deadly violence, while the opposition accuses the security forces of being behind the killings.
