These operations are used to deceive, confuse, disrupt and demoralize the enemy, with an aim toward weakening enemy resistance or even causing enemy forces to surrender and enemy populations to capitulate.
As the flip-side to the ancient wisdom that knowledge is key to all successful warfare strategies, the art of deliberately sewing deception has been understood and practiced for thousands of years.

After weeks of lying and repeated deflection, it now appears the Main Stream media is finally poised to demand answers from an Obama administration that literally watched and did NOTHING as an American ambassador and three others were killed during a terrorist attack against the Benghazi consulate on the anniversary of September 11th, 2001.

With the growing proof now coming from mulitiple media sources, look back on Barack Obama acting defiant regarding the possibility of anyone questioning his response to the Benghazi Massacre – and then ask yourself if a man so easily lies about the most sacred duty of a President of the United States, what more is he willing to lie about? What more is he willing to do to try and secure a second term?
Barack Obama DID mislead. He DID lie. He IS playing politics with the death of four Americans. Among the most disgusting public displays of any American president. Utterly deplorable.

The real Benghazi scandal

Much has been made by the conservative media of the Obama administration’s changing explanation of what really happened at our consulate in Benghazi, Libya, last month, but the real scandal is what happened before the attack (“The real reason behind Benghazigate,” Commentary, Tuesday).
Since the U.S. support for Libyan revolution began last year, Libya has been a dangerous place, full of radical Islamists and leftover heavy weapons like machine guns, mortars and rocket-propelled grenades. To make its involvement in Libya seem successful, the Obama administration has pursued a policy of “normalization” of relations with Libya. This has meant scaling down the U.S. security forces in and around the U.S. Embassy and Consulate in Libya, and turning much of the security for the ambassador and his staff there over to the Libyans.
In September, we saw the results of this naive, incompetent and politically motivated policy decision. The U.S. security forces that had been in Libya, a 16-man team of ex-Navy SEALs and Green Berets assigned to protect the ambassador and his staff, was pulled out in August, just a month before the attacks. This was done over the protests of the leader of the team, the State Department regional security director and Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens himself, who asked to keep the security team for at least one more month. On the day he died, Stevens had reiterated to Washington the danger and volatility of the Libya situation.
Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty paid the ultimate price for President Obama’s flawed worldview and inept policies.

Child trafficking is a rising concern; so much so that NGOs are launching a Europe wide awareness campaign.
Various estimates show 15000 children and adults are trafficked in and out of France every year. A vast majority of them do not register complaints after they are sold into forced labour and prostitution.
According to various NGOs at this conference, the other part of the problem lies with European travelers who visit other countries, be it for business or for holidays. The campaign aims to hit viewers mainly in Europe which generates most of the clients.
The biggest concern: big international sport events in Brazil which will hold the Confederation Cup in 2013, the Football World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016 expecting a high number of rich tourists from Europe.

I can’t deny that the NSPIRG logo reminds me of the OTPOR logo and (while that could be a coincidence) it is noteworthy that OTPOR/CANVAS has been one of the main culprits involved in various US-backed regime change operations (serving as controlled-opposition) so I’ll be keeping a close eye on NSPIRG in order to maintain a healthy level of skepticism…
That said, Canada’s foreign policy threatens to play a significant role in igniting a 3rd World War. That is something I think few people on this planet would actually want when all is said and done. It seems like a big subject but to me it’s just common sense. You simply can’t help people by bombing them. That is the opposite of help. Bombs cause destruction. They don’t transform into bananas on the way down or anything like that. They explode and inflict widespread carnage ending many innocent people’s lives. Bullets don’t turn into fries before they hit a person. They maintain their metallic structure and blood gets spilled. Damascus car blast kills six despite proposed ceasefire (PHOTOS)

A car blast has struck southern Damascus, killing at least six people and wounding dozens more. It comes shortly after the UN peace envoy announced that the Syrian government and “most” rebel commanders had agreed on a truce during a Muslim holiday.
A car stuffed with explosives went off in the Damascus suburb of Daf al-Shouk late Wednesday, killing six people and injuring 20, Syrian state TV reported. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, however, reported that at least eight people had been killed as “a car bomb hit the area between Tadamun and Daf al-Shouk, targeting a vehicle carrying 24 passengers.”
Earlier in the day, UN peace envoy Lakhdar Brahimi announced in Cairo that the Syrian government and “most” rebel commanders had reached an agreement on a ceasefire during the four-day Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, which begins on Friday.
Although the Free Syrian Army, the main opposition group, has agreed to a truce, the Islamist Al-Nusra Front, which is held responsible for the majority of suicide bombings in Syrian cities, rejected the offer. “There is no truce between us and this transgressing regime that is shedding the blood of Muslims,” the group said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is expected to make a “final decision” on the proposed ceasefire on Thursday.
