On March 26th, we asked you to contact Representative Tobin, who was blocking HB 2573 from coming up for a vote.
The response was huge.
Activist Post, Western Journalism, Lew Rockwell Blog, and several other websites picked up the alert, which was seen by thousands of people across the web. The Action Alert worked so well, according to our friends at Freedom Outpost, that Rep. Tobin did a 180 and changed his stance on the bill.
Now, State Senator Tick Segerblom is blocking Nevada’s Anti-NDAA legislation.
The 2102 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) authorized the indefinite military detention, extraordinary rendition, and application of the laws of war without charge or trial of anyone, including U.S. citizens. SB378, once amended, will protect the rights of the people of Nevada. It has 16 cosponsors, including 14 Republicans and two Democrats, more than nearly every other bill in the legislature.
When PANDA Nevada’s State Team Leader, Chris Corbett, met with Senator Segerblom last week, the Senator laid out a challenge:
“If people really care about this bill, they’ll call me”
Tick Segerblom is playing games with our rights, and he has laid out a challenge. Let’s show him we don’t play games with our unalienable rights.

Call or Fax State Senator Tick Segerblom and politely tell him to defend our unalienable rights. Tell him to honor his oath, and bring SB 378 up for a vote. Most of all, tell him if he does not, you and countless others will not only refuse to vote for him, but do whatever it takes to unseat him from office.

The 2012 NDAA allows any person, including American citizens, to be indefinitely detained without charge or trial, sent to a foreign country to be held, and even executed. Not a single law has eradicated more of our Constitution protections since the Civil War.
Now, Arizona has a chance to defeat it. Arizona has the chance to become the first state in America to enact real protections for its citizens against the NDAA. HB 2573, introduced by Rep. Carl Seel, passed Committee 6-2 last month, and passed the Rules Committee yesterday.
Yet, one Representative does not see the tide turning to liberty. Representative Andy Tobin is currently blocking HB 2573 from receiving a full House vote. He is willing to kill protection for the people of Arizona, and allow the Federal government to trample the rights of his constituents.
We will not allow him to block this bill. The rights of the people of Arizona depend on it.
Show Rep. Tobin the tide is turning in favor of liberty. Urge him, politely but firmly, to bring HB 2573 up for a vote.
If you have to leave a message, ask him to call you back. If you send an email, ask for his reply and tell him to honor his Oath. Forward this crucial message on to friends and family.

You don’t mess with Texas. At least, that’s precisely what State Rep. Lyle Larson is saying with HB 149.
HB 149 is designed to counter the indefinite detention provisions, sections 1021 and 1022, of the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act. These sections authorize the indefinite military detention, without charge or trial, of anyone who commits a “belligerent act,” or is suspected of terrorism, and violate over 13 provisions of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. the law has also been condemned by retired members of the Armed Forces, a current U.S. Congressman, Federal Judge Katherine B. Forrest, conservative pundit Rush Limbaugh, and the American Civil Liberties Union.
Rep. Larson’s bill, once amended, will protect the people of Texas from indefinite military detention and extrajudicial assassination without charge or trial. However, we have to get it through Committee first.
It’s time to bring the pressure. One call, and taking 30 seconds to tell your legislator what you think, can make all the difference.

PANDA Endorses H.R. 198

On September 14, 2001, in the wake of one of America’s greatest national tragedies, Congress gave the President unilateral power to use “all necessary and appropriate force” against those nations, organizations, or persons who planned, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks of 9-11.
On October 14th, 2011, a 16-year old American citizen from Colorado, Abdulrahman al-Awlaki, was blown to pieces by a hellfire missile. He had no connection to the terrorist attacks of 9-11.
The assassination of a 16-year old is just one of numerous examples of the overbroad interpretation of the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force. In response, a bipartisan group of U.S. Representatives led by Barbara Lee (D-CA) have introduced H.R. 198 to repeal the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force.
H.R. 198 reads as follows:
“Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the “Repeal of the Authorization for Use
of Military Force”.
SEC. 2. CONGRESSIONAL FINDING.
Congress finds that the Authorization for Use of Military Force
(Public Law 107-40; 50 U.S.C. 1541 note), signed into law on September
18, 2001, has been used to justify a broad and open-ended authorization
for the use of military force and such an interpretation is
inconsistent with the authority of Congress to declare war and make all
laws for executing powers vested by the Constitution in the Government
of the United States.
SEC. 3. REPEAL OF PUBLIC LAW 107-40.
Effective 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the
Authorization for Use of Military Force (Public Law 107-40; 50 U.S.C.
1541 note) is hereby repealed.”
Legislation like this is sorely needed to reign in the “war on terror” powers our Congress gave the President. The Authorization for Use of Military Force has given rise to the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), extrajudicial execution of U.S. citizens, and the expansion of Presidential war powers to a level never authorized in the Constitution.
PANDA wholeheartedly endorses H.R. 198 as introduced. We must restore Constitutional governance in the United States, and this bill will be a giant step in the right direction.

On April 5th 2013, 7 pm -11 pm (550 Cumberland, Ottawa, Ontario K1N 6N5) at the Desmarias Building – University of Ottawa- Hall 1160, there will be an event being organized by Sylvain Henry, who has a biochemist background. There will be a presentation of facts that geo engineering in Canada is happening and that the white lines that stay in tact in the sky and form artificial clouds are more than just water vapor and debunks government explanations.
There will be a film presented on the subject made by Mike Murphy entitled “What In The World Are They Spraying?” that approaches the chem trail phenomena in scientific way, taking soil, rain and air samples and showing the accumulation of heavy metals in our environment and much more.
There will be 400 seats made available each equipped with their own outlets for people to plug in their cameras and lap tops. Recording of the event is encouraged.
At the end there will be a questioning period and also after questioning period there will be a debate period. Those that don’t know anything about the issue, those that are anti chem trail activist and those that just think chem trails are just a conspiracy theory are all welcomed.
When everybody leaves, anyone who wishes to accept will get a gift of a burnt copy of the sequel called “WHY In the World Are They Spraying?” also produced by Mike Murphy.
Everyone who supports the event is encouraged to invite friends and family. This is the time to try to wake up the people you love. Awareness is the first step to make change.
