Microsoft Windows Enters The Internet of Things Surveillance Matrix
by Kevin Samson
Activist Post
Apr 2, 2014
Following other behemoth tech companies IBM, AT&T and Google, Microsoft has finally come along to state their intentions for promoting The Internet of Things.
Where Google sees adding robotic intelligence to every home, and the IBM/AT&T global partnership is to ensure that no home, appliance, or gadget is left behind, Microsoft’s Windows on Devices aims to offer its proprietary operating system to engage users on an already familiar platform.
Specific details remain sparse, but the video below speculates on a few areas that have come to light. The possible uses that have been offered are tame compared to what we already know are the intentions behind the move toward a Smart World.
In what researcher Julie Beal has dubbed “Uberveillance” she outlines the greater picture in her article from 2012:
Now global surveillance of citizens is announced with pride and accepted without question. This is the age of the ‘Internet of things’ – everything is to be woven into the Web. Companies like IBM are busily creating ‘smartworld’ where the Internet becomes the system of systems, linking all devices, people, and even nature.
Everything we buy from the shops, even our food, will one day incorporate smart tags. This practice is on the increase, facilitating what is known in the industry as ‘asset tracking’, and is being taken up more and more to enable tracking and tracing of documents, equipment, pharmaceuticals, warehouse stock, etc. (Source)
Clearly the potential is such that former CIA director David Petraeus made mention of it, implying that Smart tech will most likely lead to a CIA (and NSA) home invasion:
CIA Director David Petraeus made headlines with a speech given at the summit for In-Q-Tel, the CIA’s venture capital firm. In this talk, Petraeus discussed the emerging “internet of things” and the implications it will have for increased levels of surveillance. Petraeus explained that, because of the rise of gadgets which are connected and controlled by apps, intelligence agencies will no longer need to place spy devices inside your home – you will do it for them.
In conjunction with a recent unveiling of a new low-powered computer chip by ARM, one of the world’s largest chip companies, the fact is virtually every piece of electronic equipment (including appliances) can be controlled via apps and Internet-based systems. It is for this reason that Petraeus stated that the CIA will be able to read these devices via the Internet and even radio waves outside of the home.
Petraeus further stated,
‘Transformational’ is an overused word, but I do believe it properly applies to these technologies.
Particularly to their effect on clandestine tradecraft. Items of interest will be located, identified, monitored, and remotely controlled through technologies such as radio-frequency identification, sensor networks, tiny embedded servers, and energy harvesters – all connected to the next-generation Internet using abundant, low-cost, and high-power computing.
He also added, “the latter now going to cloud computing, in many areas greater and greater supercomputing, and, ultimately heading to quantum computing.”
(Source)
As the world moves toward connecting real devices to the virtual world of the Internet, the recent U.S. move to relinquish Internet control to a structure of global governance will have even vaster implications. Also consider the fact that major tech companies are working together rather than competing in the Internet of Things space by forming an “Industrial Internet Consortium.” Lastly, we have Facebook pursuing the purchase of a solar drone company to potentially offer planet-wide connectivity.
As if all of that should not be troubling enough, the Windows on Devices website states the following:
Connections are everything
Your Windows device can connect to the cloud to enable interesting new scenarios. Use Azure data services, build a new mashup, analyze your data, connect your devices together, or update your devices remotely. Once your device is in the cloud, the sky’s the limit. (emphasis added).
So beyond the normal government backdoors into your devices, Cloud interaction will be built in as well. In her article “Prepping the cloud for the internet of things” tech writer Barb Darrow leaves no doubt:
As billions more devices get connected to the internet (estimated to be 26 billion by 2020 – Ed.), there will be a huge infrastructure transformation on the backend. Cloud computing will play a major role in how the world takes advantage of that device-driven data explosion. (Source)
This push continues despite the fact that Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak went on record to caution that Cloud Computing is absolutely not secure and is in fact fully compromised.
When the above developments are combined with the stated goals of UN Agenda 21, we are seeing a convergence of disparate areas under a simple single banner of connectivity.
To be sure, having you stay permanently connected in the real and virtual world has very little to do with your coffee mug or pet robot bear.

Microsoft Could Bring Windows to Coffee Mugs, Robots
by Adam Falk
A new site suggests Windows might be coming to your coffee mug.
Engadget reports the site, called Windows on Devices, showed up briefly Tuesday – just ahead of Microsoft’s Build 2014 conference.
But it’s since been taken down and now looks like this, which tells us, well, nothing.
Before leaving the web, the site reportedly said Microsoft is “bringing Windows to a whole new class of small devices.”
It even used a smart coffee mug as an example. This suggests Microsoft might embrace the so-called ‘Internet of Things.’
Meaning, it’s going to make our everyday, dumb devices – like kitchen appliances or coffee mugs – smarter by connecting them to the internet.
Reports indicate Microsoft is aiming Windows on Devices at makers. That is, if it’s even happening.
Reports are speculation at this point, and as CNET notes, “The Internet of Things is certainly designed to extend smart technology to ‘dumb’ devices, but a coffee mug or bear? That might be a stretch.”
How about a watch? The Verge says the question is whether Windows on Devices could power things like watches or eyewear, “both of which Microsoft is rumored to be working on.”
We should likely know more about this mysterious site and more as Microsoft Build kicks off Wednesday.

Astronauts Experience Spherical Heart Anomaly In Space
Red Ice Creations
Apr 4, 2014
Not only are astronauts in danger from cosmic radiation, space junk, catastrophic equipment failure, and their fingernails falling off, they’ve also now got to risk heart attacks for daring to explore that final frontier.
Studies are finding that human hearts change shape and become spherical in space, and microgravity makes astronauts more prone to heart attacks.

Hearts Become Spherical When Astronauts Go To Space: Study
By Lawrence LeBlond | RedOrbit
[…]Previous studies have shown that astronauts are exposed to a range of health issues when taking prolonged trips into space, including losses in bone density and muscle mass and vision anomalies. The new heart health findings, based on a study of 12 astronauts, is to be presented at the upcoming American College of Cardiology’s 63rd Annual Scientific Session.
The new findings bolsters the evidence that even longer periods in space, as would occur on a mission to Mars, is associated with increased dangers on human health. The results of the astronaut study will help scientists better understand how a spaceflight lasting 18 months or longer could affect heart health.
“The heart doesn’t work as hard in space, which can cause a loss of muscle mass,” senior study author James Thomas, MD, Moore Chair of Cardiovascular Imaging and Lead Scientist for Ultrasound at NASA, said in a statement. “That can have serious consequences after the return to Earth, so we’re looking into whether there are measures that can be taken to prevent or counteract that loss.”
In order to keep the heart healthy in space, astronauts will need to know the amount and type of exercise they need to perform to guarantee their safety on prolonged spaceflights. Thomas noted that exercise regimens developed for astronauts could also help people on Earth who have physical limitations also maintain good heart health.
[…]
Thomas maintained that the spherical form is only temporary and returns to a normal shape shortly after astronauts return to Earth. But while in space, a spherical shape may mean the heart is performing less efficiently, although long-term health effects are currently unknown.
However, it has been previously found that some astronauts do suffer a variety of cardiac effects upon returning to Earth. Orthostatic hypotension, where the astronaut becomes lightheaded or passes out, occurs when the body experiences a sudden drop in blood pressure when an astronaut tries to stand up. Arrhythmias can also occur during space travel, and there is concern that radiation exposure may accelerate atherosclerosis.

When astronauts go to space, they are not only affected by a loss of muscle mass, but new research shows that their hearts are also at risk, particularly in the fact that they tend to form more spherical shapes while in outer space.

For the study, the researchers trained astronauts to take images of their hearts using ultrasound machines installed on the International Space Station. The 12 participating astronauts provided data on heart shape before, during and after space missions.
The results show that the heart becomes more spherical by a factor of 9.4 percent. This is on board with what scientists had predicted using mathematical models developed for the project. The team believe the models, developed specifically for the study, could also give doctors a better understanding of common cardiovascular conditions for ground-based patients.

VIDEO — FBI Warned of ‘Imminent’ Fort Hood Style Attack Right Before New Fort Hood Shooting
Truthstream Media
Apr 4, 2014
We’re coming up on the anniversary of the Boston Marathon Bombing and there has been another shooting incident at Ft. Hood today and although details are still sketchy, it is eerie that the FBI apparently saw it coming, interviewed a suspect who threatened to commit this exact crime and then let him go right before this happened.
This report aired on Fox News on 3/31/14: http://youtu.be/_dGOVEdqPGc
Not only did the FBI put out an alert a few weeks ago that a “Ft. Hood-inspired jihad” was “imminent” only to turn around and announce yesterday that this was “not an immediate threat,” but there were also nationwide jihad-style drills being held yesterday, and (at least in part) specifically in regard to “lone wolf” scenarios calling out the Ft. Hood shooting as an example.
Already there were early reports of two gunmen, but now there is only one and he has apparently been killed. Homeland Security is claiming there is no counter terrorism nexus. National media outlets are reporting that anywhere from three to 14 people have been injured. Again, details are emerging, but we will update as soon as we learn more.

Creativity and Non-Conformity Now listed as a Mental Illness by Psychiatrists
CODE BREAKER
Mar 27, 2014
What happens to a society when thinking outside of the box or being righteously enraged about your government going in the wrong direction becomes an excuse to be sedated and re-educated? It seems we don’t have to go too far back in history to find out.
The Soviet Union used new mental illness for political repression. People who didn’t accept the beliefs of the Communist Party developed a new type of schizophrenia. They suffered from the delusion of believing communism was wrong. They were isolated, forcefully medicated, and put through repressive “therapy” to bring them back to sanity.
Now thanks to thought policing by the American Psychiatric Association the latest addition of the DSM-IV (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) is setting up the dominoes for arbitrary diagnosis of any dissenting individuals.
listed as new mental illnesses are above-average creativity and cynicism. The manual goes on to identify a mental illness called “oppositional defiant disorder” or ODD. Defined as an “ongoing pattern of disobedient, hostile and defiant behavior,” symptoms include questioning authority, negativity, defiance, argumentativeness, and being easily annoyed.
A Washington Post article observed that, if Mozart were born today, he would be diagnosed with ADD and “medicated into barren normality.” What used to be known as personality traits are now diseases, and of course there are treatments available.
When the last edition of the DSM-IV was published, identifying the symptoms of various illness in children, there was a jump in the medication for children. Some states even have laws that allow protectives agencies to forcibly medicate, and even make it a punishable crime to withhold a prescribed medication.
Beware people with a strong sense of individuality! Though the authors of the manual claim no ulterior motives, labeling freethinking and nonconformity as a mental illness has a lot of potential for abuse. As a weapon in the arsenal for a repressive state, it seems societal reality is morphing into a playbook for autocrats borrowed from a Phillip K. Dick novel.

Politically correct exclusivity knows no bounds. Government preferred minorities have screamed for decades about prejudice, racism, homophobia, etc., but given the chance they return the same multiplied.
In Germany, where merely questioning the official historical narrative gets you thrown in prison, the Safia association, consisting primarily of elderly lesbians, has established a lesbian-only cemetery.
From Time today:
Dr. Astrid Osterland, a member of Safia, told German newspaper The Local that this effort has “absolutely nothing against men” and that technically, there are no rules prohibiting men (or heterosexual women) from selecting plots in the lesbian section.
Heterosexuals, of course, would be treading on thin ice if they attempted establishing their own cemetery. Imagine a group creating a cemetery for white males only. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would have a field day. MSNBC would dedicate exclusive news coverage and run ancient footage of the Ku Klux Klan marching. States and municipalities would rush into law prohibitions against the practice.
Expect this trend to reach the United States soon. Radical lesbianism and politically correct “gay rights” are about exclusivity and government enforced privilege at the expense of everybody else, in particular white males, who are now routinely demonized.

LSD-Tainted Meat Sickens Family – Throwback to CIA Experiment
by Elizabeth Renter
Natural Society
Mar 14, 2014
Just recently, police in Tampa Bay reported an entire family had to be hospitalized after meat purchased from their local Walmart was found to contain LSD—a psychoactive drug that causes intense hallucinations. Though unrelated, a case from more than 50 years ago shows just how serious LSD-tainted foods can be, particularly when they are administered by the CIA.
The Morales family of Tampa Bay had eaten bottom round steak for dinner one night last week. One by one, they fell ill.
The father, Ronnie, was the first. His pregnant girlfriend took him to St. Joseph’s hospital. While there, she also became ill and was rushed across the street to St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital, where she was induced and delivered her baby.
Both children in the house,7-year old Elyana and 6-year old Rayna, experienced hallucinations and felt sick. The kids and their father had to receive tracheal intubation while hospitalized.
After collecting various foods from the home, officials discovered the meat had been contaminated with LSD. Though Walmart has received no other similar complaints, they are said to be cooperating fully with the investigation and removed all similar cuts of meat from that store location.
This isolated incident is frightening, to be sure, but it is nothing like the LSD contamination that took place in Pont-Saint-Esprit in southeast France in 1951. According to an American investigative journalist, it was there that the CIA laced local food with the hallucinogen to study mind control during the cold war.
Read: Magic Mushroom Compound to Halt Depression
On August 16, 1951, villagers began experiencing hallucinations. Five people died and dozens had to be institutionalized for their behavior and delusions. According to The Telegraph:
“One man tried to drown himself, screaming that his belly was being eaten by snakes. An 11-year-old tried to strangle his grandmother. Another man shouted: “I am a plane”, before jumping out of a second-floor window, breaking his legs. He then got up and carried on for 50 yards. Another saw his heart escaping through his feet and begged a doctor to put it back. Many were taken to the local asylum in strait jackets.”
Until recently, the prevailing theory was that the town’s baker contaminated the bread with ergot, a hallucinogenic mold. But H.P. Albarelli Jr. says it was a much more sinister cause. The bread mold was actually an excuse created and circulated by the Swiss pharmaceutical company who was supplying the CIA and U.S. Army with LSD.
According to Albarelli, interviews he conducted in the research phase of his book on CIA “Secret Cold War Experiments” revealed the true nature of the village’s brush with insanity. LSD wasn’t only put in the food, he alleges, but spread through the air.
Though the Tampa Bay case is likely far less sinister than this decades-old story out of France, we’d all do good to take some lessons from both—lessons in sourcing our foods locally and being aware that the risks inherent when we give up our control of the food supply are many.
