US Training Syrian Opposition In Cyber Warfare, Online Security

Along with the ongoing the arms race in Syria, there is a different kind of “war.” This other war might even be more dangerous, simply because it is more intelligent. It is electronic warfare, reinvented by the US under the term “logistics aid.” Fighters on the battlegrounds are transformed into highly trained “cyber warriors,” capable of wielding machine guns in one hand and cameras or computers in the other. The most impressive feature of this new US war strategy must be the electronic tactics that the US has adopted, especially those that were initially developed by drug dealers or Internet hackers. Such tactics were bitterly denounced by the US in past years.
Abu Ghassan, a US-trained cyber warrior, recounts to Time magazine how he “learned to fight Bashar Assad with an AK-47, a video camera and the Internet.” Ghassan boasted that he had learned to upload footage of recorded battles on the Internet at the beginning of the training sessions, which were organized to support the Syrian opposition. He was sent to the US at the request of Syrian opposition leaders to receive advanced training. During these more complex sessions with the US State Department, Ghassan was trained on PC encryption mechanisms, government firewall workarounds and the safe use of mobile phones.

With the Syrian crisis heating up amidst heightened agitation by NATO powers and the announcement by Russian officials that two military combat divisions and one brigade of Russian troops are being readied in order to support the Assad government, very disturbing reports are now being echoed by reliable sources such as Thierry Meyssan and Webster Griffin Tarpley regarding a potential false flag in the region.
The event, which would take the form of staged massacres, rebellions, and resignations, using television studios and the commandeering of Syrian television, would serve the purpose of both spreading disinformation across the world and a campaign of demoralization against the Syrian people.
According to Meyssan, the event could take place as early as Friday, June 15, at noon.
Meyssan states that, although the time and date are not set in stone, the plan, which has been in the works for months, has been accelerated due to the recent announcements made by Vladmir Putin.
Meyssan writes:
Studio-shot images will show massacres that are blamed on the Syrian government, people demonstrating ministers and generals resigning from their posts, President al-Assad fleeing, the rebels gathering in the big city centers, and a new government installing itself in the presidential palace.
The plan, according to Meyssan, has been largely organized by Ben Rhodes, US Deputy National Security Advisor For Strategic Communication and speechwriter for Barack Obama.
Meyssan states that the Arab League has officially asked satellite operators Arabsat and Nilesat to stop broadcasting Syrian media, regardless of whether those broadcasts are government-based or private.
However, although Syrian media will be cut, television broadcasts presenting the staged scenarios mentioned above will replace the regularly scheduled programming.
Meyssan says that, according to his sources, several international meetings were held in the last week where a discussion took place regarding how to coordinate the disinformation operation. He claims that the first meeting held in Doha, Qatar, was of a technical nature and the third meeting, held in Riyad, Saudi Arabia dealt with political ramifications.
Meyssan writes:
The first meeting assembled PSYOP officers, embedded in the satellite TV channels of Al-Arabiya, Al-Jazeera, BBC, CNN, Fox, France 24, Future TV and MTV. It is known that since 1998, the officers of the US Army Psychological Operations Unit (PSYOP) have been incorporated in CNN. Since then this practice has been extended by NATO to other strategic media as well.
They fabricated false information in advance, on the basis of a ‘story-telling’ script devised by Ben Rhodes’s team at the White House. A procedure of reciprocal validation was installed, with each media quoting the lies of the other media to render them plausible for TV spectators. The participants also decided not only to requisition the TV channels of the CIA for Syria and Lebanon (Barada, Future TV, MTV, Orient News, Syria Chaab, Syria Alghad) but also about 40 religious Wahhabi TV channels to call for confessional massacres to the cry of ‘Christians to Beyrouth, Alawites into the grave!’
The second meeting was held for engineers and technicians to fabricate fictitious images, mixing one part in an outdoor studio, the other part with computer generated images. During the past weeks, studios in Saudi Arabia have been set up to build replicas of the two presidential palaces in Syria and the main squares of Damascus, Aleppo and Homs. Studios of this type already exist in Doha (Qatar), but they are not sufficient.
The third meeting was held by General James B. Smith, the US ambassador, a representative of the UK, prince Bandar Bin Sultan (whom former U.S. president George Bush named his adopted son so that the U.S. press called him ‘Bandar Bush’). In this meeting the media actions were coordinated with those of the Free ‘Syrian’ Army, in which prince Bandar’s mercenaries play a decisive role.
As Webster Tarpley has pointed out, this plan sounds eerily familiar to the false broadcast of the Green Square in Tripoli, Libya which turned out to be faked film footage created on a film set in Qatar.
It should also be pointed out that Victoria Nuland, Spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, has recently predicted more massacres similar to the Houla incident. Indeed, she was quite precise with her predictions, providing the exact locations of the “potential” massacres.
Obviously, one cannot predict with certainty whether this disinformation plan will be utilized or not. However, it is the goal of reports such as this one to shed enough light on the operation to see that it is not.

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation funding research into bracelets that track mental, emotional responses

(NaturalNews) Pushing vaccines on the entire world is apparently not the only goal of the infamous Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which is reportedly now funding research into human tracking bracelets capable of gauging both emotional and physical responses to various stimuli. According to The Washington Post (WP), the Gates Foundation has already quietly spent more than $1 million on research into the biometric bracelets, which could forever alter the way students learn and teachers teach.
In a controversial move that was only recently brought to light, the Gates Foundation allegedly forked over about half a million dollars to South Carolina’s Clemson University late last fall, and another more than $600,000 to the National Center on Time and Learning (NCTL), a group dedicated to improving student achievement. Both grants were intended to fund test studies on the effectiveness of the “galvanic skin response” bracelets, which assess the physiological responses of students to learning material.
The idea is that when a student, for instance, is exposed to new lesson plans from his teacher, the bracelet will detect electrical changes on his skin and inside his body which can be used to assess how well he is learning the information. The bracelet may also detect various cognitive responses in that student’s brain which indicate whether or not a particular teaching style is effectively engaging him according to his learning abilities and types.
Tracking bracelets could further dehumanize American education
On the surface, the bracelet concept may appear as though it could actually help improve the quality of education in America. After all, what bad could come of monitoring innate emotional and cognitive responses to external stimuli for the purpose of improving the methods by which teachers educate their students?
On the other hand, tracking students in this way could open the door for an even more dehumanized approach to education. Standardized testing, numbers-based teacher assessments, and various other outcome-based educational formats have already largely eroded the human element that used to play an integral role in American education.
The bracelets could also further thwart the educational environment to cater specifically to what students want rather than what they need. Using students’ emotional responses to various learning material as a metric of how well a teacher is performing is a flawed approach that could send many quality, veteran educators packing their bags.
What is the real agenda behind tracking bracelets?
When controversy about the tracking bracelets, and particularly the Gates Foundation’s research funding, first began to arise, supporters of the technology denied that their use would affect the learning environment negatively. Deborah Veney Robinson, a Senior Communications Officer at the Gates Foundation, for instance, is quoted in a recent Forbes piece as saying that the bracelets would not be used to evaluate teacher performance, a claim made by the bracelets’ opponents.
But if they are not intended to evaluate teacher performance, then what, exactly, are they for? This is a valid question that many educators and education researchers are now asking. Surely the Gates Foundation has some type of agenda with the program that it is not fully disclosing.
“Why do they want bracelets with wireless sensors for children and teachers that can gauge physiological reactions?” asked Diane Ravitch, an education expert and Research Professor of Education at New York University (NYU), who is skeptical of the Gates Foundation’s intent with the research. “What’s the purpose of this research? I don’t understand what those bracelets are for. Still don’t.”
Based on the Gates Foundation’s other agendas, it is not too far of a stretch to assume that tracking bracelets could one day be used to weed out students or teachers that do not buy into the vaccine agenda, for instance, or those that oppose phony environmental hoaxes such as global warming. By monitoring what is being taught and how students respond to it, Big Brother could theoretically read the human mind in real time, which has some fairly disturbing implications.
How long will it be before schools begin requiring that students link up to the system via tracking bracelets so that authorities can essentially monitor and control human thought? Will the bracelets one day be modified to deliver an electric zap to students that get out of line, or that diverge from the information being taught to them? There truly is a brave, new world before us, and the Gates Foundation is helping to pave the way directly to it.
