A 4.8 magnitude earthquake has hit the Philippines island of Bohol just days after a powerful typhoon left thousands dead in the Pacific nation.

The quake’s epicenter was in the San Isidro municipality of the island province, according to a USGS report.

It is located some 45km from Tagbilaran, the provincial capital that has almost 100,000 residents.

The tremor hit at the depth of about 70km, according to early USGS estimates.

The Philippines Institute of Volcanology and Seismology put the depth of the quake much less deep, at just 9km.

It said it was an aftershock of the 7.2 magnitude quake that hit the island on October 15.

No immediate casualty or damage report is available. The authorities did not issue a tsunami alert following the quake.

Last month’s quake killed 22 people and displaced tens of thousands. It also caused damage to more than 73,000 structures.

Bohol Island is located just south of the path of devastation left behind by the powerful Typhoon Haiyan,  known locally as Typhoon Yolanda.

The typhoon, which was the strongest to hit the country in decades, left an estimated 10,000 people killed and leveled thousands of homes. Philippines declared a state of national calamity as search and rescue operations continue.

VIDEO — Massive Fireball Roars Through Suburban Power Lines, Blows Out Electricity

If you’ve ever wondered what a massive electrical surge from an electro-magnetic pulse weapon, solar flare or cyber attack might look like, then take a look at this footage shot in Montreal.

In this instance the surge caused a cascading electrical outage across one neighborhood. Imagine what such an event would look like across the entire national power grid.

Then consider how long it would take to bring essential services like hospitals, communication system, commerce processing, and banks back online.

According to former Congressman Roscoe Bartlett, we’re talking not days or weeks, but months and years before utility workers would be able to repair key transformers and nodes.

We could have events in the future where the power grid will go down and it’s not, in any reasonable time, coming back up.

For instance, if when the power grid went down some of our large transformers were destroyed, damaged beyond use, we don’t make any of those in this country. They’re made overseas and you order one and 18 months to two years later they will deliver it.

Our power grid is very vulnerable. It’s very much on edge. Our military knows that.

Communist Chinese troops ‘boots on the ground’ in Hawaii (Nov 12th)

by Frankie Gotz

by:

“For the first time in American history, troops from Communist China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) will openly be on sovereign American soil starting early next week, as reported by China’s governmental controlled Xinhua News Agency on Nov. 6, 2013.

Almost totally ignored by the American media, PLA troops will be in Hawaii from the 12th through the 14th of this month, to be hosted by the U.S. military’s Pacific Command, also headquartered in the Aloha State.

Communist Chinese troops will be participating in the U.S. government’s massive GridEx II military, quasi-military and civilian emergency response exercise.

The New York Times reported on Aug. 16, 2013 that GridEx II specifically is consists of:

… thousands of utility workers, business executives, National Guard officers, F.B.I. antiterrorism experts and officials from government agencies in the United States, Canada and Mexico are preparing for an emergency drill in November that will simulate physical attacks and cyberattacks that could take down large sections of the power grid.

They will practice for a crisis unlike anything the real grid has ever seen, and more than 150 companies and organizations have signed up to participate.

Three days after the NY Times article, the Department of Defense official website quietly noted rather generically that Chinese troops were invited to “attend next year’s Rim of the Pacific multilateral naval exercise.”

Not quite done yet, the American Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel appeared before the world’s press corps with Chinese Minister of National Defense Gen. Chang Wanquan.

The duo stated they’ve agreed “to expand the current system of defense exchanges and joint exercises.”

Open Arms…

In what the Beijing-ran news agency refers to as “non-traditional security areas,” the American commander of all US Forces in the Pacific, Admiral Samuel Locklear was quoted by Xinhua as “looking forward” to Chinese troops participating in the disaster relief drill.

“In relation to our ability to do this with our Chinese counterparts,” the Admiral said, “this kind of exercise gives us a place to start, and get into the rhythm of understanding and trusting each other.”

“I’m looking forward to it,” he added. “I think it will be a great exercise.”

Is it just me or is there a scary trend happening?  We have the beloved Just Trudeau as candidate who is running to be Prime Minister in next election, openly stating he admires China for it’s dictatorship, do we really want this guy to be Prime Minister?

We see countless elitists organizations around the world  , like the Canadian Council of Chief Executives (CCCE), perpetuating business into Asian countries and claim that China is the future.  Andre Desmarias from the Power Corporation of Canada, who is part of the CCCE states that Canada bridges the gap between China’s collectivism and America’s individualism.

George H. W.  Bush spoke of a new world order at the United Nations (UN) in 1991.  Countless politicians around the world are talking about ‘one world government’ and blatantly use the term ‘new world orderin many speeches.  We have foreign troops being deployed and being trained in Canada and the United States.  What is going on?   Why are foreign troops being trained here in North America?

Moa Zedong is the communist father of China, and it was the UN that put him in power.  Canada is a signatory to the UN and is heavily involved with the organization since it formed after WWII.  The UN openly states they want to establish a one world government under their control.  The UN gives peace awards to dictators who commit genocide.  People in Canada and the US better start waking up and paying attention to what’s going on, because in my opinion I see ourselves very slowly moving towards totalitarianism.

And what’s this GridEx training about? Will there be a false flag?

An estimated 10,000 people might have been killed in the central Philippine province of Leyte alone, which was almost completely destroyed by the powerful typhoon Haiyan, local authorities said.

The typhoon has devastated up to 80 percent of the Leyte province area as it ripped through the Philippines, Chief Superintendent Elmer Soria told Reuters.

“We had a meeting last night with the governor and other officials. The governor said based on their estimate, 10,000 died,” Soria said.

Most of the dead drowned or were killed by collapsed buildings, authorities say. Tacloban city administrator Tecson Lim told AP that the death toll in Leyte province city alone “could go up to 10,000.”

Police have been deployed to patrol the ruins of Tacloban to prevent looting as desperate residents look for food and water, said Philippine Interior Secretary Mar Roxas, describing the situation as “horrific.”

“The dead are on the streets, they are in their houses, they are under the debris, they are everywhere,” said Lim, adding that only about 400 bodies have been recovered so far.

The Red Cross said earlier that 1,200 people we confirmed dead in the Philippines.

Roxas said earlier on Saturday that it was too soon to announce any final figures.
