SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A Sacramento man scanning the night sky caught a sudden burst of light through his telescope. He recorded that strange sight with his smart phone.
CBS13 shared the video with experts to see if they could solve the mystery.
This mysterious little tale begins earlier this week when Good Day Sacramento’s Cody Stark got this message on Facebook: “I have something on video no one has ever seen. I had my telescope out, caught an explosion in space. Wanna see the video?”
Cody’s response? Absolutely!
The video was shot with an iPhone through the eyepiece of a telescope, so CBS13 had to enlarge it to get a better look. It was shot on Dec. 20 around 5 p.m. in Sacramento by viewer Elijah Prychodzko.
“I saw something that I’d never seen before. I saw another object orbiting this — whatever it was up there, and I’ve never seen anything like that before,” said Prychodzko.
He thought it was a little strange so he put his phone down, called his nephew, and then returned to shoot a second video clip.
“Oh my God, it just blew up. Something blew up,” he’s heard saying on the video.
“As soon as I put the camera to the telescope it just blew up and I didn’t know what to say,” he told CBS13.
So Cody sent the video off to Dr. Stephen P Maran, who wrote the book Astronomy for Dummies.
Dr. Maran responded by saying he didn’t recognize the “explosion” as a known astronomical phenomenon. “My personal opinion is that it is not an astronomical event,” he wrote.
Whatever it was, it was almost never seen by Dr. Maran or anyone else — because Prychodzko nearly sold it on Craigslist.
“Almost got rid of it a week before. I was trying to sell it on Craigslist and I was getting offers and, man, you know what, at this time I’m glad I didn’t sell it,” he said.
CBS 4 also contacted a Vatican expert who said it could be some sort of light refraction.”

Rescue recollections: Plane crash eyewitness in RT studio [video]

Five people have now died as a result of the plane crash, when a passenger jet overshot the runway at one of Russia’s busiest airports. One of the wounded flight attendants died of her injuries in hospital on Sunday. The Tupolev 204 airliner crashed through a fence into the side of a major highway, breaking into three parts. All 8 people on board were crew members. RT talks to one of the witnesses to the accident, who stopped his car and got out to help the injured, including the flight attendant who has since died in hospital. Evgeniy Zembitsky also shot some dramatic footage, which he’s shared with RT.

International activists enter Gaza on solidarity mission [video]

About one hundred solidarity activists were able to get into the Gaza Strip through the Rafah Crossing on the borders with Egypt.
The majority of the Welcome to Palestine delegation came from European countries like France, Belgium, and Ireland, along with some Egyptians.
Many of them expressed their happiness for being able to make into the Gaza Strip, especially that it comes on the 27th of December, which coincides with the fourth anniversary of the Israeli Operation Cast Lead on Gaza in 2008, which claimed over 1400 Palestinian lives.

Netanyahu Holds Secret Meeting with Jordan’s King on Syria

Zionist Entity’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a secret meeting in Jordan with King Abdullah II, the London-based Al-Quds Al-Arabi daily reported on Wednesday.
The paper, without specifying when the meeting took place, only said it was “kept a secret.”
According to the report, which has yet to be confirmed by Zionist officials, the meeting focused on the possibility that Syrian President Bashar Assad would use chemical weapons in the ongoing conflict raging in Syria.
The newspaper quoted a Jordanian official as saying that the reason for the secrecy is that “Israel’s presence in any official, regional or international meeting meant to change the balance of power in Syria, actually hinders such brainstorming.”
The report further said that the Zionist entity is trying to promote “an unpopular scenario” of a surprise offensive on Assad’s arsenal of chemical weapons, in order to destroy it.
According to the Zionist daily Haaretz, Journalist Jeffrey Goldberg reported in The Atlantic earlier this month that the entity of occupation has asked Jordan twice in the last two months for a green light to attack chemical weapons facilities in Syria, but the Jordanians responded negatively to the request and refused to grant their approval.
When contacted, the Netanyahu’s office refused to comment on the report.
Goldberg added, however, that Netanyahu has already sent representatives of the Mossad intelligence agency to Amman twice, to coordinate the matter with the Jordanians and receive their “permission” for the operation.

The Connecticut Health officer (Medical Examiner) in charge of the post mortems made a meaningless speech saying he had not seen all the children
The rifle the alleged shooter used was found in the trunck of a car
The brother of the alleged shooter has been locked up (silenced) for his own safety
The parents have not spoken except for one father who was seen to be joking around before the cameras came on
