Texas prepares to nullify TSA, NDAA in showdown of state liberty versus federal tyranny

The secession effort is being led by the independence-minded citizens of Texas, with more than 111,000 residents having signed an online petition requesting secession as of this writing.
Lawmakers in Texas are set to respond to a growing wave of discontent with federal authority, as they look set to consider a pair of bills that will set the state on a collision course with Washington.
Let the nullification begin
According to the Tenth Amendment Center, “a national think tank that works to preserve and protect the principles of strictly limited government through information, education, and activism,” the state legislature will consider a pair of bills aimed at protecting some basic civil liberties for citizens.
Earlier this week, Rep. David Simpson, R-Longwood, pre-filed a measure called “The Texas Travel Freedom Act,” or H.B. 80, which would make it a criminal act to intentionally touch “the anus, breast, buttocks, or sexual organ of the other person, including touching through clothing,” without probable cause, in the process of allowing someone access to public transportation.
In other words, the bill is aimed at ending pointless, embarrassing and invasive pat downs of travelers by the federal Transportation Security Administration, among others.
The measure also forbids removing a child under the age of 18 from the physical custody or control of a parent or guardian.
“If you walk up to somebody and grab their crotch out on the street, it will land you in jail. Blue uniforms and federal badges don’t grant some goon the power to sexually assault you, or at least they shouldn’t. A person doesn’t forfeit her or his personal dignity or Fourth Amendment protections with the purchase of an airline ticket,” said Tenth Amendment Center communications director Mike Maharrey.
In addition, state lawmakers will consider a separate measure that would block any attempt to indefinitely detain people in Texas under sections of the National Defense Authorization Act. That measure, known as H.B. 149, has been pre-filed by Rep. Lyle Larson, R-San Antonio. It states:
It is the policy of this state to refuse to provide material support for or to participate in any way with the implementation within this state of Sections 1021 and 1022 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 (Pub. L. No. 112-81). Any act to enforce or attempt to enforce those laws is in violation of this subchapter.
‘Our last hope is to stand up and nullify’
The latter bill also provides for criminal penalties against any outside authority attempting to detain persons within the boundaries of Texas without due process under the NDAA. If passed, the bill would effectively nullify indefinite federal detention in the state of Texas, the center said, noting that the bills appear to be aimed at the Obama administration in particular.
“With four more years of the man who not only signed ‘federal kidnapping’ into law, but has vigorously defended it in court, there is absolutely zero chance for repeal in Washington D.C. Our last hope is to stand up and nullify,” said the center’s executive director, Michael Boldin. “While Representative Larson will likely be derided by the establishment, if you live in Texas, he deserves your praise. And other state legislators need to follow suit.”
“When enough states stand up and say, ‘No!’ to unconstitutional federal acts, there’s not much that Obama and his gang can do about it. The Constitution and your liberty will win,” Boldin continued.
The center said both pieces of legislation appear to be modeled after examples set by Thomas Jefferson, when he drafted the Kentucky Resolutions of 1798, in response to the Alien and Sedition Acts, arguing that nullification is “the rightful remedy” of federal government usurpation:
The several States composing, the United States of America, are not united on the principle of unlimited submission to their general government; but that, by a compact under the style and title of a Constitution for the United States, and of amendments thereto, they constituted a general government for special purposes – delegated to that government certain definite powers, reserving, each State to itself, the residuary mass of right to their own self-government; and that whensoever the general government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void, and of no force.
Other states are engaging in nullification, of sorts, regarding Obamacare. Many are opting out of creating state health insurance exchanges, as called for by the law, while others have held referendums to simply opt out of participating in the law altogether.
“Because of how the policy is structured, the road to ObamaCare leads straight through the governors’ desks. Based on the Supreme Court’s decision, the federal government has to implement the President’s program, but it cannot force states to run it,” said Family Research Council chief Tony Perkins.

It’s absolutely mind-blowing to think about how many well-intended people are still fooled by this man’s unscientific claims…
After I found out that Richard Gage was coming to Peoria, IL, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to ask him why he continually ignores the overwhelming sum of easily verifiable physical evidence that thermite and explosives of any kind do not explain, why he has not filed his “smoking gun” thermite evidence in a court of law, and why he banned me, a donating member, from his AE911Truth organization just for sending Mr. Gage one well-intended email to ask if he knew about the large sum of important physical evidence that Dr. Judy Wood has discovered. I also asked Mr. Gage some other important questions, such as why he doesn’t ever mention Dr. Steven Jones’ past work with Los Alamos National Laboratories (the laboratory that conducted the Manhattan Project to develop the atomic bomb and many other top-secret defense / weapons programs), and Dr. Jones’s role in disrupting the ‘Cold’ Fusion research and patent application of Stanley Pons and Martin Fleischmann long ago. Please pay close attention to Mr. Gage’s words, body language, and attitude, and decide for yourself what his intentions are.
In Spring of 2010, I messaged Richard Gage of AE911Truth to ask him if he knew about the large sum of important physical evidence that Dr. Judy Wood has discovered, and as a result, I was silently banned from AE911Truth, despite the fact that I have donated over $100 dollars to Richard Gage and his organization over the course of my ~1 year membership. As of the morning of March 4th 2010, my name was removed from the AE911Truth petition and my profile was deleted, so it appears that I have been banned from the group simply for sharing evidence with Richard Gage in one private email. This is very concerning to me, because I have not done anything wrong by asking Richard Gage if he is aware of the large sum of empirical evidence Dr. Judy Wood has gathered, yet AE911Truth has banned me simply for trying to help. Furthermore, shortly after I began posting on internet blogs and forums about what AE911Truth had done to me, it was then that Mark Graham of AE911Truth contacted me, emailing me to offer me a refund because they noticed I was telling people what had happened to me.
If Mr. Gage was searching for the truth, then he would not be trying to deceive people by claiming to present the best “scientific forensic evidence”, only to completely ignore the large sum of scientific forensic evidence that thermite does not explain. If a cancer researcher only presented the evidence that supported his hypothesis while completely ignoring the evidence that countered his hypothesis, he would be ridiculed, criticized, and most likely fired from whatever institution he represented for presenting such an unscientific and biased fraction of the total sum of important physical evidence that demands consideration.
In my opinion, I find it to be highly probable that Richard Gage, Steven Jones, Alex Jones, and others, are ignoring a large amount of physical evidence and pushing the thermite-only story just in case we ever attempt to bring the true 9/11 perpetrators to justice. There is a thing called Double Jeopardy in our legal system, so we only get one shot at charging the true suspects, and thus, we better figure out exactly how they did it before we charge them. Thermite is easily disprovable in a court-of-law because it does not even come close to explaining all of the physical evidence from 9/11, so if AE911Truth is truly interested in the “Truth”, perhaps they should stop pushing the unscientific thermite-only/explosives-only nonsense down everyone’s throats. They should be encouraging us to think for ourselves, but instead, they are telling us what to think and what evidence to consider, while simultaneously ignoring an overwhelming sum of extremely important, easily verifiable, empirical evidence.

After the unsatisfying answers that Richard Gage gave in response to my first set of questions, I decided to approach him at the end of the Q&A session to see if I could get a better explanation for why I was silently banned from AE911Truth simply for sending him one well-intended private email which asked Mr. Gage if he was aware of the large sum of important physical evidence that Dr. Judy Wood has discovered. I sent the email in Spring 2010 shortly after I found out about all of the important evidence Dr. Judy Wood has discovered, because I thought Mr. Gage most likely did not know about it. Now, it seems that Mr. Gage does indeed know about all of this important evidence, and that he purposely is choosing to ignore it. In my opinion, it is now very obvious that Richard Gage, Dr. Steven Jones, Alex Jones, and other “truth” seekers, are simply the second layer of the 9/11 coverup. Please do not take my word for it, rather, take it upon yourself to research this evidence for yourself and make up your own mind about it. We all must think for ourselves and familiarize ourselves with ALL of the physical evidence from 9/11, so that our opinions are as accurate and well-informed as possible. Please pay close attention to Mr. Gage’s words, body language, and attitude, and decide for yourself what his intentions are.
I found it very concerning to see Richard Gage implying and/or stating things such as, “I don’t understand the NYC seismographic data, I’ve never studied them”, or “I know that 1,400+ mangled cars cannot be explained [by thermite], I don’t know what can explain that”, or “I don’t want to ask questions that will raise more questions, I [only] want to ask questions that will motivate people to ask for a new investigation”, or “it’s up to you [public] to do something with this evidence and act on it, because I am working 80 hours per week managing this organization and no attorney has stepped up yet” (I wonder if Richard Gage forgot about James Gourley, the legal attorney, supporter of AE911Truth and the Journal of 9/11 Studies, and the Executive Director of the International Center for 9/11 Studies?) , and other related statements…
