Unprecedented amount of ice still present at Great Lakes, USA/Canada

Although North America is now a full month into astronomical spring, the Great Lakes are still almost half frozen. As of April 22, 2014, the Great Lakes were 33.9 percent ice covered. Some scientists say that the amount of ice that still remains could have a big impact on the environment in the months and years ahead.
- Lake Superior is the world’s largest freshwater lake by area (82,100 square kilometers or 31,700 square miles) and the third largest by volume. The waters average 147 meters (483 feet) in depth, and the basin is believed to hold about 10 percent of the world’s liquid fresh water.
- Lake Superior had 3.6 percent ice cover on April 20, 2013; in 2012, ice was completely gone by April 12.
- In the last winter that ice cover grew so thick on Lake Superior (2009), it reached 93.7 percent on March 2 but was down to 6.7 percent by April 21.
In the early afternoon on April 20, 2014, the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite captured this natural-color image of Lake Superior, which straddles the United States – Canada border. At the time Aqua passed over, the lake was 63.5 percent ice covered, according to the NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Lab (GLERL). Averaged across Lake Superior, ice was 22.6 centimeters (8.9 inches) thick; it was as much as twice that thickness in some locations.

Said on April 21st to watch the area near term.. 3-5 days… Now , April 23rd into 24th, it has been hit with a borderline 7.0M event.

In the past 30 days, we’ve seen NINETEEN 6.0M+ earthquakes… SEVEN 7.0M+ earthquakes… and TWO 8.0M+ events (with tsunami warnings issued for each).
EXCESSIVE earthquake movement taking place over the past 3 weeks, internationally, and nationally in the US.
In the past 7 days we’ve seen FIVE 6.0M+ earthquakes, and THREE 7.0M+ earthquakes. This is something we need to be watching intently.

In the same time frame, multiple volcanic eruptions in Central America, and South America.. as well as plume events from Oil / Gas wells, and dormant volcanoes in the USA.
Also, heavy swarm activity in the Western Yellowstone Supervolcano magma chamber, and now movement in Southern California. 5.0M event near Puerto Rico as well.

Watch the whole series of events, as the storm was created out of Cannon Air Force Base New Mexico, as the National Weather Service censored the feed, then finally as the feed was CUT.
Weather modification , happening real time on RADAR, censored after being found .
Myself, and THOUSANDS OF OTHERS all watched this happen live on RADAR, as they first tried to HIDE the data, then cut the feed when we figured out what was happening.

7.6 aftershock hits same area of northern Chile as Tuesday’s 8.2 quake

A 7.6-magnitude aftershock has rocked the same area of northern Chile where a massive 8.2 earthquake struck on Tuesday. The earlier quake, which caused a tsunami, killed six people and forced almost one million others to evacuate.
[UPDATE: A 5.0-magnitude aftershock also happened after the 7.6-magnitude aftershock.]
The Wednesday quake occurred just before 02:43 GMT off the northern coast of Chile, 19 km (14 miles) south of Iquique, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). The epicenter of the latest quake was located at a shallow depth of 40 km (24.9 miles).
Chile’s emergency ministry has ordered a preventative evacuation along the northern Chilean coastline.
However there have been no official reports of damage or injury in Chile or Peru, according to Reuters.
A tsunami warning issued for Chile and Peru has been canceled, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
“Based on all available data a destructive Pacific-wide tsunami is not expected,” it said earlier. However minor tsunami waves did hit the northern coast of the country.
Chilean President Michelle Bachelet has been evacuated from the Arica coast, local media has reported.
Aftershocks measuring magnitudes of 5.6 and 5.8 occurred after the 7.6 quake, according to the USGS. Both were located around 70 to 75 km (43 to 46 miles) southwest of Inquique.

Another strong aftershock, measured at magnitude 6.4, also struck 47 km (29 miles) west of Iquique at around 01:58 GMT Wednesday evening.
This comes one day after an 8.2 magnitude quake hit 95 km (59 miles) northwest of the same area, around Iquique.
After Tuesday’s quake, tsunami warnings spurred the evacuation of 900,000 people and 11 hospitals along the coastline, government officials said.
At least six people died following the quake, Chile’s Interior Minister Rodrigo Penailillo said. Many of the victims died from heart attacks or falling debris.
