LED Grow Lights Make Growing Marijuana Easy… Or Do They?

For patients who need medical marijuana, the progress of LED grow lights has been closely watched. The lights, which promise greater energy efficiency and lower heat than their high pressure sodium and metal halide cousins, have gained increasing visibility in the cannabis community.

LEDs (short for light emitting diodes) were first invented in 1927. More efficient than nearly any other type of artificial light, these diodes were too weak to be a contender for growing plants until recently.

But continuing research has resulted in LED lights that are more powerful than ever before. Within the last few years, many LED grow light systems have sprung up on the market for indoor gardeners.

Some claim the LED grow light technology may finally put the cultivation of a few marijuana plants within reach of anybody who has a few extra bucks and a spare closet.

On paper, LED grow lights seem to outperform HPS grow lights (the current standard for growing marijuana) in almost every way.

Please read and consider the vairous forms of spirochetes. This report focuses on filament formation involving spirochetes and comparisons to “known” forms.   And then compare to what we are finding, what is being sent to MRG and what this Morgellon’s Morphologist has done.

Panel of experts bring new perspectives to Morgellons Research.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) May 02, 2012

A multinational panel of medical and scientific professionals met on March 24 and 25, 2012 in Austin, Texas at the 5th annual Morgellons Medical Conference entitled, “Searching for the Uncommon Thread” to discuss the latest findings on Morgellons disease. Morgellons is a debilitating, systemic illness characterized by the formation of unusual fibers within the skin. In addition to slow-healing skin lesions, those afflicted by the illness also experience overwhelming fatigue, and an array of neurological deficits. Morgellons affects people of all ages and ethnic groups, worldwide. Sponsored by The Charles E. Holman Foundation (CEHF), the two-day event boasted attendees comprised of doctors, scientists, Morgellons patients and supporters. Much of this conference was dedicated to refuting the conclusions suggested by the 2011 study by Hylwa et al, of the Mayo Clinic, and the January 25th, 2012 Center for Disease Control (CDC)/Kaiser Permanente Morgellons study.

Highlights of the two-day event included many educational and thought provoking presentations. Canadian microbiologist, Marianne Middelveen, reported on ground-breaking research that she and prominent San Francisco-based physician, Raphael Stricker, published recently in Clinical Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3257881. This research demonstrates similarities between Morgellons and a bovine spirochetal disease.

“The unusual filaments associated with Morgellons are likely composed of keratin and demonstrated photographic evidence that fibers stem from both pavement epithelial cells and hair follicles, tissues where keratinocytes are the predominant cell type,” stated Dr. Middelveen. According to Middleveen “these findings conclusively debunk the erroneous theory that this disease is caused by delusional beliefs and that patients self-implant fibers or are intentionally mutilating themselves”. A second publication related to this subject authored by Middelveen, Stricker and other collaborating researchers, is currently in-press and scheduled to be published soon.

Australian Dermatologist, Peter Mayne, showed clear slides of fibers taken from some of his many Morgellons patients, noting that fibers are subdermal in origin and some originate in the hair bulb. Dr. Mayne is the first practicing dermatologist to thoroughly examine the tissue of Morgellons patients and acknowledge the disease’s unique pathological characteristics. Mayne outlined differential diagnoses he considers in his Australian clinical practice. Dr. Mayne, along with Randy S. Wymore, PhD., Director of Research at the Center for the Investigation of Morgellons disease, reviewed the history of the CDC’s noninvolvement with Morgellons disease, and refuted the 2012 CDC/Kaiser study results. A presentation on Institutional Cognitive Dissonance by CEHF Director, Cindy Casey, RN, in collaboration with Elizabeth Rasmussen, PhD, further demonstrated the repudiation by the CDC in its lawful responsibilities towards Morgellons patients as well as to their confused and bewildered medical care providers.

Department of Homeland Security Plans to Release Bacteria in Boston Subway System [video included]

Off Grid Survival
May 1, 2012

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has announced a series of biological tests that they will be conducting in subway systems near Boston. DHS will be releasing bacteria into the MBTA tunnels, in what they say are tests to evaluate sensors installed in the tunnel system.

The DHS sensors are designed to detect biological agents. The testing is expected to go on for at least one year, with multiple bacteria releases every month.

DHS officials insist that the bacteria release, a dead bacteria called B-subtilis, will have no adverse health risks on healthy individuals.  What this means for people with compromised immune systems isn’t known, DHS hasn’t publicly commented on that.

B-subtilis is a Gram-positive, catalase-positive bacterium commonly found in soil. Although DHS insists that are no health risks, the EPA fact sheet does show some negative health effects associated with this bacteria.

B. subtilis does produce an extracellular toxin known as subtilisin. Although subtilisin has very low toxigenic properties (Gill, 1982), this proteinaceous compound is capable of causing allergic reactions in individuals who are repeatedly exposed to it.

B. subtilis has also been implicated in several cases of food poisoning (Gilbert et al., 1981 and Kramer et al., 1982 as cited by Logan, 1988).

It goes on to say that in those with compromised immune systems:

Infections attributed to B. subtilis include bacteremia, endocarditis, pneumonia, and septicemia.

According to DHS,(their documents can be seen on the DHS website here)

Several subway systems across the country were considered to host the proposed pilot test.

Preliminary discussions were held with a few subway systems, and the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) was considered to be an optimal location due to the extensive chemical simulant studies that were recently performed there.

Psychologists Demonstrate Implanting Non-Believed false Memories in Troubling Study

By Madison Ruppert
Editor of End the Lie
April 28, 2012

A recent study has found that people can have memories of events that never occurred implanted in a laboratory setting, even when they know that it never actually happened. Combining these findings with the reality of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA’s) hallucination-inducing technology and you have the potential for both the reliability of our memory and perception to be manipulated and thus become completely unreliable.

In 2010, Giuliana Mazzoni and Lucy Harvey of the University of Hall in the UK along with Alan Scoboria of the University of Windsor conducted a survey of over 1,500 undergraduate students.

These researchers found that almost an entire quarter of the individuals surveyed reported having a memory of an event which they know or believe did not actually happen.

Now a group of psychologists including Andrew Clark, Robert Nash, Gabrielle Fincham, and Giuliana Mazzoni have conducted a three-stage study which was actually able to produce false memories which persisted despite the fact that the participants knew, and no longer believed, they had ever performed the actions.

As per usual, a certain amount of deception was involved in the study. Twenty participants were brought to a psychology lab for what they thought was a study dealing with mimicry.

They were filmed as they sat across from a research associate and repeated the actions of the researcher. Actions were simple and included snapping fingers, clapping hands, rubbing the table, etc.

Each participant would watch the researcher passively then mimic their actions. In total, 26 different actions were mimicked by each participant.

Two days later, participants were shown clips taken from the earlier footage which showed them watching the researcher perform actions.

However, this time two clips had been manipulated to show the participant passively watching the researcher perform actions that were actually never part of the original sessions.

BPS Research Digest explains, “Because the participants had earlier mimicked all the actions that they’d witnessed, the doctored footage gave the strong impression that they must have mimicked those two new actions even though they hadn’t. This set-up provided a powerful means of inducing false memories – 68 per cent of the participants’ memory ratings for the fake actions suggested they “remembered” performing the actions. Their belief that they’d performed these actions was similar in strength to their memories.”

Four hours later the participants were brought back into the lab for a final session during which they were told that they had been tricked.

Participants were then asked to provide memory and belief ratings for the different actions which showed that for a whopping 25 percent of fake actions, participants reported stronger memory scores than belief scores.

This means that their false memories of having performed actions which never occurred continued to be held even after they no longer believed that they had ever performed the actions.

Not only does this raise some questions about the reliability of memory and perception, but it also raises some major ethical questions dealing with this type of memory research.

“To the extent that debriefing might not always completely ‘undo’ the effects of suggestive manipulation, we might question the ethics of inducing false memories in experimental participants,” Clark said. “Is it ethical for participants to leave research labs with remnants of non-believed false memory content in the forefront of their minds?”

Future research into this type of memory, known as “non-believed memory,” will likely explore if belief is required for the initial creation of memories, even if that belief is later eliminated as it was when subjects were debriefed in the study.

“Or, alternatively,” said the researchers, “can memories form completely in the absence of belief?”

One must wonder, when you combine weaponized hallucinations like those being developed by DARPA and findings like these, could people soon have completely fabricated memories implanted in their minds?

After all, Putin reportedly confirmed that Russia is actively working on psychotronic weaponry, so it can only be expected that we are going to leverage findings like these and related technology to psychologically terrorize the supposed enemy.

7 medicinal herbs and spices that help lower blood pressure

by Aurora Geib
Natural News

April 26, 2012

(NaturalNews) High blood pressure is an epidemic that is currently sweeping across America. The fast lifestyle of fast food, soda and stress is starting to catch up on the average American, so much so that an estimated one in every three Americans has high blood pressure. This puts them at risk of heart disease, stroke and even kidney disease. Moreover, this condition is costing the country 93.5 billion dollars in health care services.

Putting too much faith in the medical establishment to find a cure for your high blood pressure may no longer be advisable in the least. The number of prescription drugs on the market and the cascade of variations suggest that a cure for blood pressure is not in the offing anytime soon.

Despite all the consequences associated with high blood pressure, it is still a condition that is preventable and easily managed. Observing a healthy balanced diet and enjoying an active, healthy lifestyle can help avoid the risk of high blood pressure as well as reduce one that is already elevated.

High blood pressure – A package of woe

There is no one identifiable cause for high blood pressure. A combination of factors like stress, alcohol, smoking, weight and lack of physical activity seem to have to come together to produce this problem, which is further compounded by family history and age.

Although it is a condition that if left unattended could gravitate to something worse, high blood pressure is not a disease. Taking proactive measures in preventing heart diseases, stroke and even kidney disease by managing your blood pressure may be the best decision you can make today.

While the idea of drug-free high blood pressure management through the use of herbs and spices has slowly been gaining ground, it is still treated with skepticism by the medical establishment. The reliance on prescription drugs, however, has not in any way shown that high blood pressure could be cured through this manner. There are still reports by patients who are currently using drugs to manage their high blood pressure that their condition has not shown any improvement, nor their quality of life. Instead, they have to deal with side effects and drugs that are expensive to maintain.

Spice up your life

In a published study featured in the Journal of Medicine, it was revealed that common spices can protect from heart disease and the deterioration brought about by aging. In the said study, researchers discovered a connection between the phenol content of certain herbs and spices and their capacity to prevent glycation and formation of AGE compounds that are responsible for premature aging and heart disease.

As a way to manage your blood pressure, herbs and spices are a fantastic way to increase the medicinal value of your food. Below are some herbs and spices you may have been enjoying with no idea as to their value:

1. Garlic – Garlic contains allicin, a substance which has antibacterial, antioxidant, lipid lowering and anti-hypertension properties. In a pilot study made at Clinical Research Center of New Orleans on whether garlic could lower blood pressure, nine patients with severe hypertension were given a garlic preparation containing 1.3 % allicin. Sitting blood pressure fell with a significant decrease in diastolic blood pressure only five to 14 hours after the dose. Moreover, it was proven in a 2009 study that fresh garlic has more potent cardio-protective properties than processed garlic.

2. Cinnamon – Cinnamon not only prevents heart disease, it can also prevent diabetes. The Center for Applied Health Sciences in Ohio conducted a study of 22 subjects, half of which were given a 250mg of water soluble cinnamon daily while the other half were given placebo. It was discovered that those who drank cinnamon had a 13 to 23 percent increase in antioxidants connected with lowering blood sugar levels.

3. Onions – Onions contain quercetin, an antioxidant flavonol found to prevent heart disease and stroke. In a research study published in the Journal of Nutrition, subjects with hypertension experienced a decrease in their blood pressure by 7mmHg systolic and 5 mmHg diastolic as opposed to those who were taking placebo.

4. Olives – This herb is a significant part of the Mediterranean diet, recognized to be one of the healthiest in the world. Oil made from olives has been found to reduce blood pressure. In a study conducted on the importance of olive oil, Dr. L. Aldo Ferrara, Associate Professor at the Frederico II University of Naples in Italy discovered that the daily use of 40 grams of olive oil reduced the dosage of blood pressure medication in hypertensive patients by about 50 percent. Polyphenols in extra-virgin olive oil was credited for the significant reduction of blood pressure.

5. Oregano – This herb contains the compound carvacrol which has been proven to be effective against blood pressure. In a study conducted on animal subjects, by researchers from Eskisehir Osmangazi University in Turkey, carvacrol was found to reduce heart rate, mean arterial pressure as well as the systolic and diastolic blood pressures.

6. Hawthorn – This herb has been traditionally used to treat high blood pressure. In one study conducted in Reading, UK, 79 type-2 diabetic patients were randomized to receive 1200 mg of hawthorn extract while another group received medication for high blood pressure. Results revealed that patients taking hawthorn by the end of the 16th week showed a reduction in their mean diastolic pressure.

7. Cardamom– In one study published in the Indian Journal of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 20 subjects newly diagnosed with primary hypertension were administered 3 g of cardamom powder. After the end of the 3 months, all the subjects experienced feelings of well-being without any side effects. Moreover, the study was able to demonstrate that blood pressure was effectively reduced. It also improved antioxidant status while breaking down blood clots without significantly altering blood lipids and fibrinogen levels.

Taking advantage of the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of spices and herbs is an excellent way to boost your body’s health. Herbs have low calorie content, increase the medicinal value of your food and allow you to use natural forms of lowering blood pressure. Mix them up with your soups, salads, fish and meat and vegetable dishes. It’s a healthier and cheaper alternative to keeping bottles of prescription drugs and synthetic supplements.
