Head of LulzSec reportedly worked with FBI for months, participated in disinformation campaign

Hector Xavier Monsegur aka Sabu

By Madison Ruppert

Editor of End the Lie

Today brought yet another international raid targeting alleged members of the hacker group Lulz Security, better known as LulzSec along with reports that Hector Xavier Monsegur or “Sabu” was working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for months.

During the peak of their activities I pointed out that their activities were in no way forwarding the cause of internet freedom, in fact they were giving ammunition to those in Washington who would like to see the internet be under total government control.

An article in the Guardian (which I addressed here) quoted one of my articles on the subject, essentially claiming that I had been tricked by the group into thinking they were working with the government.

As it turns out, I was, to a certain extent, correct the entire time. While it is now clear that all of LulzSec was not a government operation, I was correct in postulating that the leadership could be working directly with the government.

At the time, there was also concerns that the LulzSec member “Nakomis” was working with the government, although it is now obvious that they were controlling the group from the very top.

It’s always enjoyable to see when the alternative media and so-called “conspiracy theorists” are vindicated by the mainstream media months after the fact.

The operation targeted five of the top members of LulzSec across the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States and an FBI official told Fox News, “This is devastating to the organization. We’re chopping off the head of LulzSec.”

LulzSec has claimed responsibility for a wide variety of attacks on targets ranging from Sony, to FBI affiliates, to government entities like the official Senate website and even random everyday people.

Last year, LulzSec assimilated into the amorphous Anonymous and stopped operating under their own banner, although the operations never ceased.

Monsegur reportedly was facing a dozen hacking-related charges, to which he pleaded guilty on August 15, 2011. After this time, it appears that he began working with the FBI in order to receive a reduced sentence.

“They caught him and he was secretly arrested and now works for the FBI,” a source that went unnamed who is allegedly close to Monsegur told Fox News.

So far, those arrested include: Ryan “Kayla” Ackroyd, Jake “Topiary” Davis, Darren “pwnsauce” Martyn, Donncha “palladium” O’Cearrbhail, and Jeremy “Anarchaos” Hammond.

Kayla and Topiary were arrested in London, England, pwnsauce and palladium in Ireland and Anarchaos in Chicago, Illinois.

This comes after another recent international raid targeting Anonymous resulted in arrests of a whopping 25 suspects.

According to Fox News’ coverage, Monsegur was quite a helpful asset for the government. According to anonymous sources who they claim are close to Sabu as well as law enforcement officials, he was disseminating disinformation via Twitter and even protecting the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and other government and financial institutions from being hacked.

The FBI was reportedly able to flip Monsegur on his associates by leveraging his guardianship of two children against him.

“He didn’t go easy,” an anonymous law enforcement official involved in the operation said. “It was because of his kids. He didn’t want to go away to prison and leave them. That’s how we got him.”

“He really cares about these kids,” another unnamed source said. “They’re young [and] he is really worried about what will happen.”

After he faced his charges, Monsegur reportedly began working out of FBI offices on an almost daily basis, assisting federal agents in identifying and arresting other prominent members of LulzSec and Anonymous.

Eventually he was allowed to work from home using a laptop provided to him by the FBI while his old computer was given to the FBI along with all of the encryption keys needed to uncover his records and log them as evidence.

Fox News paints Monsegur as this godly figure in the hacking world, likening the leads on vulnerabilities that hackers “he commanded” would send him to “offerings made to a monarch.”

Furthermore, they quote an anonymous law enforcement official as saying, “In half the world he was a god. If he thought what you did was good, you’d rise up in the [hacker] community – once he blessed you, basically.”

Monsegur reportedly spent 8 to 16 hours on the computer every day under the constant watchful eye of an FBI agent who monitored his activities through software loaded on to the government-issued laptop.

When LulzSec hackers would pass information to Monsegur about vulnerabilities they discovered, he would turn around and hand over the information to the FBI who would attempt to warn the targets before they were attacked.

Monsegur and his FBI handlers were also behind a large disinformation campaign which even included getting in touch with reporters who believed they were interviewing a notorious hacker.

Sometimes the journalists would be speaking directly to FBI agents the entire time, other times it would be Monsegur himself with his handlers by his side making sure he said what they wanted him to.

“About 90 percent of what you see online is bulls—,” one of Monsegur’s FBI handlers told Fox News, referring to their quite massive disinformation campaign.

An FBI supervisory official told Fox that Monsegur’s activites helped the FBI alert some 300 government, financial and corporate entities around the world to the potential points of vulnerability in their systems, all without blowing his cover this entire time.

Monsegur also acted as a fact-checker for the FBI, verifying claims of breaches and information theft from members of LulzSec or Anonymous.

Sabu was even responsible for calling off a DDoS attack on the CIA’s public website at the request of the FBI.

“We told Sabut to tell them to stop,” an anonymous official stated. “’It’s embarrassing for the CIA,’ we told Sabu, ‘Make them stop, now.’”

Like any good minion, Monsegur followed orders and said, “You’re knocking over a bee’s nest,” to his hacker pals.

When he told them to stop, that is exactly what they did. I’m not sure why the attack was so embarrassing for the CIA given that it was not actually a hack, just a disruption of their public website’s availability.

“When people in the hacking community realize their God has actually been [in] cooperation with the government, it’ll be sheer terror,” one senior official said.

“You might be a messiah in the hacking community but you’re still a rat,” another anonymous source said.

It will be interesting to see how Anonymous reacts to this revelation, although it has been said in the past that around a quarter of all hackers already work with government entities in one way or another.

The activities of LulzSec made it very clear to me that they would be targeted for infiltration, if they weren’t already compromised.

It is now obvious that my hunch was correct and they were a tool of the FBI for even longer than I had thought.

John McCain: Founding Father of the Terrorist Emirate of Benghazi [videos included]

Land Destroyer Report

Benghazi declares autonomy, raises Al-Qaeda flag. McCain seeks to spread terrorist empire to Syria.
by Tony Cartalucci

March 7, 2012 – “I have met with these brave fighters, and they are not Al-Qaeda. To the contrary: They are Libyan patriots who want to liberate their nation. We should help them do it.” – Senator John McCain in Benghazi, Libya April 22, 2011.

Image: And yet, the very courthouse McCain uttered his lies in front of is now flying the flag of Al Qaeda, while crowds have been photographed in the streets of Benghazi carrying it aloft since the fall of Qaddafi. Clearly, the senator from Arizona was “mistaken.” (click images to enlarge)

….

Even as McCain deceived the world with his comments in pursuit of overthrowing and destroying the sovereign nation-state of Libya, it was already a matter of record, according to America’s own West Point Combating Terrorism Center, that Benghazi, and much of eastern Libya known as Cyrenaica, served as an epicenter for global Al Qaeda recruitment. Militants hailing from the eastern region’s Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) would end up in both Afghanistan and Iraq fighting Western troops and participating in sectarian violence.

This included LIFG leader Abdul Hakim Belhaj aka Abdul Hakim Hasadi, who first fought alongside the CIA against the Soviets in Afghanistan, then against US and British troops before eventually being captured by the US and handed over to Qaddafi who imprisoned him for 7 years. Upon his release, he would promptly be sponsored by NATO and the likes of John McCain, given arms, money, and training just as he was by the CIA during the Soviet Afghan-invasion, with the addition of NATO close air support in his bid to overthrow the Libyan government.

Video: McCain can’t plead ignorance – international news has covered Al Qaeda’s involvement in Libya, and now in Syria for well over a year.

….

Belhaj and other militant factions constituting the “Libyan rebels” would go on a genocidal rampage throughout the country, encircling cities like Bani Walid and Sirte, cutting off food, water, electricity, and emergency aid while NATO mercilessly bombed populated city centers for days, weeks, and in the case of Sirte, months.

Belhaj is now the military commander of Tripoli and has been reported to be working with Syrian militants to repeat NATO’s campaign of atrocities, destabilization, and Balkanization in Syria, where he is said to be importing weapons and funds as well as LIFG fighters.

There is no doubt that the men McCain was defending were LIFG fighters, terrorists linked directly with Al Qaeda according to West Point reports (.pdf), and listed to this day by the US State Department and the UK Home Office (.pdf) as a “foreign terrorist organization.” McCain was not only rhetorically supporting listed terrorists, but providing material support including weapons, funds, training, and airsupport in direct violation of USC § 2339A & 2339B, “providing material support or resources to designated foreign terrorist organizations.”

Video: McCain can easily be considered one of the founding fathers of the autonomous Al Qaeda terror-emirate of Benghazi, a distinction that makes a mockery of the 6,000+ US troops that gave their lives for the fraudulent “War on Terror” McCain is so fond of promoting.

….

In a recent turn of events, it has been reported that the city of Benghazi has declared autonomy from Tripoli, raising the Al Qaeda flag and becoming in effect, a terror-emirate, one whose capital McCain had stood in, praising men who had American blood on their hands and were in the process of (and still are) carrying out racist genocide. Thanks to McCain’s support, the forces of Al Qaeda have achieved in one year what Qaddafi had prevented them from doing for decades. They now have a vast region, rich in oil resources gladly siphoned by Western corporations, to use as a base of terror – one of the very supposed scenarios McCain helped send 6,000+ US troops to their graves in Iraq and Afghanistan to prevent.

But McCain’s treason, national, and international crimes don’t begin or end there. His International Republican Institute (IRI) was mentioned by name in the New York Times as being behind the supposedly “indigenous” “spontaneous” “Arab Spring” unrest in the first place. In an April 2011 article published by the New York Times titled, “U.S. Groups Helped Nurture Arab Uprisings,” it was stated:

“A number of the groups and individuals directly involved in the revolts and reforms sweeping the region, including the April 6 Youth Movement in Egypt, the Bahrain Center for Human Rights and grass-roots activists like Entsar Qadhi, a youth leader in Yemen, received training and financing from groups like the International Republican Institute, the National Democratic Institute and Freedom House, a nonprofit human rights organization based in Washington.”

After helping overthrow the Egyptian government, McCain would lead representatives from Wall Street’s Fortune 500 corporations on a tour of Cairo like conquerors surveying their new dominion. He would also taunt the heads of state of both Russia and China, revealing the final destination of the chaos and destabilization he has been helping along by claiming, “I would be a little less cocky in the Kremlin with my KGB cronies today if I were Vladimir Putin. I would be a little less secure in the seaside resort [of] President Hu and a few men who govern and decide the fate of 1.3 billion people.”

The work of McCain’s IRI more recently manifested itself when it was caught meddling in Russia’s elections late last year and again just this month. The National Endowment for Democracy (NED), a US government funded umbrella organization under which the IRI falls and the IRI itself, were behind several US-backed NGOs, particularly GOLOS, seeking to “expose voting irregularities.” The purpose of this was of course to cast doubts on the validity of the elections and justify street mobs brought out by the Russian opposition groups the IRI had been cultivating in an attempt to trigger an “Arab Spring” in Russia.

Image: Screenshot taken of McCain’s messages regarding unrest he and his IRI have prepared and are now trying to trigger in the streets of Russia. (click to enlarge.)

….

And just this week, echoing his frothing warmongering over Libya, McCain called for US airstrikes on Syria. Promoting the use of America’s military while being unable to cite any credible or imminent threat to US territorial security would seem like a punishable offense or at least a sign of mental instability and grounds for dismissing the aged Senator. Instead, McCain represents the public face and voice of the corporate-financier agenda of Wall Street and London which has plotted a premeditated blitzkrieg from Tunisia to Thailand, and eventually to the doorsteps of both Moscow and Beijing.

On the eve of possible Western intervention in Syria, and with warmongers like John McCain, fellow IRI chairman Lindsey Graham, and Senator Joseph Lieberman calling for a repeat of Libya, it is essential that Americans look at the Al Qaeda flags waving over Benghazi and recognize McCain’s role helping hoist them aloft.

Thousands of American troops have shed their lives in a war they believed was meant to fight these very men now being handed nation after nation by US senators like McCain, who in fact were the principle proponents of the wars in both Afghanistan and Iraq. We are not witnessing a wave for liberation and democracy sweeping the globe, but rather a sinister deception paved in blood, terror, and betrayal of all kinds crafting a world not for ‘we the people’ to thrive in, but for Wall Street and London to feed on.

Mossad, CIA and Blackwater operate in Syria – report

Russia Today
March 7, 2012

A security operation in Homs reveals Mossad, CIA and Blackwater are involved in the military violence in this part of Syria, as over 700 Arab and Western gunmen and Israeli, American and European-made weapons were detained in Baba Amr district.

Syrian security forces got yet further proof of Western powers’ military involvement in Syria’s internal conflict, reports Al-Manar, a news agency, affiliated with Hezbollah, the Lebanon-based militant group and political party.

Around 700 gunmen were recently arrested in the former rebel stronghold of Babar Amr.

“The captured gunmen held Arab nationalities, including Gulf, Iraqi, and Lebanese. Among them were also Qatari intelligence agents and non-Arab fighters from Afghanistan, Turkey, and some European countries like France,” the agency quotes Syrian expert in strategic affairs Salim Harba as saying.

Harba also confirmed to the agency that “a coordination office was established in Qatar under American-Gulf sponsorship. The office includes American, French, and Gulf – specifically from Qatar and Saudi Arabia – intelligence agents, as well as CIA, Mossad, and Blackwater agents and members of the Syrian Transitional Council.”

The Syrian expert also added the security forces have also seized Israeli-, European- and American-made weapons.

“The Syrian army also uncovered tunnels and equipments there,” he told to the agency, “advanced Israeli, European, and American arms that have not yet been tested in the countries of manufacture, in addition to Israeli grenades, night binoculars, and communication systems were confiscated by the security forces.”

Salim Harba however said the Syrian authorities are not planning to reveal all the obtained information now, but assured all the evidence is of high value.

“The Syrian security forces have documents and confessions that could harm everyone who conspired against Syria, and could make a security and political change, not just on the internal Syrian level, but also on the regional level,” he said.

The recent Stratfor leak and hacked email of the company’s director of analysis also suggest undercover NATO troops are already on the ground in Syria.

There have been previous allegations of a Western presence on the side of the rebels as 13 French officers were reportedly captured by the loyalist forces earlier in March.

President Bashar al-Assad has repeatedly claimed his regime is fighting not with peaceful protesters as claimed by the West, but with the military gangs supported by the West.

Western powers however have categorically denied any military involvement in Syrian internal conflict.

Splintered Syria: Fears of sectarian violence [video]

Russia Today
March 7, 2012

[download] [embed]

Syria has a long history of peaceful coexistence among diverse religious and ethnic communities. But with ongoing violence in the country, more and more people fear this pillar of secularist regimes might end up crumbling.

With a predominantly Sunni Muslim population, Syria is also home to many ethnic and religious minorities – Shia, Druze and Christians included.

President Bashar al-Assad and his family are Alawite – the Shia Islam minority – and Alawites dominate the government, holding key military positions.

For years his regime has protected the interests of the country’s diverse religious population by enforcing its strictly secular program and curbing the influence of radicalism.

But for the past year the country has been embroiled in a political conflict which is now threatening to break this fragile balance.

RT’s Maria Finoshina traveled to one of the last resorts of peace and stability in the country – the village of Maaloula. It is the only place in the world where Aramaic – the language believed to have been spoken by Christ – is still used as a living language.

Away from the battles in this long-running conflict, it has troubled neighbors – the village of Yabroud, the alleged center of weapon smuggling in Syria is just 20 minutes away. The beleaguered city of Homs is less than a hundred kilometers away. The residents therefore are afraid the violence can now reach their place and ruin their peaceful life.

“We are afraid that these people [[anti-government protesters – RT]] will come here to try to disturb us and destroy our peaceful life, as they did in Homs and many cities, but we trust army and security and state,” one of the residents told the RT crew.

For years the regime kept all the religious groups in unity with President al-Assad, more than just the head of state, but kind of a symbol of this harmony.

“Our country before the crisis was developing now – we are all losing. Jesus said any kingdom that split will die fast. These people are receiving money, and listening to the orders. They want to ruin this country. What else [do] you think?” Pelagia Sayaf from St. Thekla Monastery explained to RT.

As sectarian violence over Syria between Sunnis and Alawites has already been seen in neighboring Lebanon, Syrian minorities now scared it will bleed over across the border.

And with increasing calls for foreign intervention and the arming of the opposition people fear a no-win fight would be tragic.

Syria: Game Over for Western Propaganda [video included]

Land Destroyer Report

Syrian Activists Caught Lying, Syrian Rebels Caught Committing Atrocities.
by Tony Cartalucci

March 6, 2012 – Why should the West intervene in Syria when it turns out “activists” giving daily body counts, the sole source of “evidence” for the UN’s ever climbing grand total, are caught not only lying, but staging entire interviews complete with fake gunfire directed “off stage?” Why should the US, UK, EU, or the West’s stable of Arab proxy-regimes be allowed to arm Syrian rebels admittedly carrying out their own horrific atrocities? Clearly Syria’s opposition have turned out, just as they have in Libya, to be craven, murderous, and ultimately deceitful extremists – making any further contact with them by the West a direct violation of their own national and international laws.

Video: Classic war propaganda – complete with staged-gunfire off camera and the intrepid actor “Danny” relaxed and joking before getting into character to give a hysterical “casualty report” to his co-star, CNN’s Anderson Cooper – just one of many he regularly gives to Western media networks.

….

The omnipresent “Danny” from Syria has been recently exposed in a video showing him relaxed, joking, and preparing off-camera staged-gunfire, before getting into character for a hysterical “casualty report” given to CNN’s Anderson Cooper. “Danny” isn’t the first fraud caught being used by a duplicitous Western media to sell military intervention in Syria, there was also “Gay Girl in Damascus” who turned out to be a 40 year-old American man based in the UK. It is exactly “activist-based” reports like this, that the UN and corporate media have used shamelessly to advocate Wall Street and London’s mandates.

https://i0.wp.com/static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2011/6/15/1308135155149/Tom-McMaster-007.jpg

Image: Pictured is “Gay Girl in Damascus.” Far from an editorial oversight, “Gay Girl in Damascus” was in reality a 40 year-old American man living in the UK. The Western media shamelessly exploited his narrative until it unraveled, and simply moved on to other actors, like “Danny” who directs fake gunfire off-camera while giving casualty reports to CNN.

….

It was revealed that the UN Human Rights Commission UNHC report late in 2011, was based entirely on “witness accounts” recorded not in Syria, but rather in Geneva. It was further revealed that the report itself was compiled by a director of a corporate-funded US think-tank representing the collective interests of the very corporations pushing for Syrian “regime change.”

Since then, the UNHC has inflated their numbers, and organizations including Soros-funded Human Rights Watch have likewise weighed in with reports based entirely on “witness” and “activist” accounts, with one exception – they also include grainy satellite images implying that every pockmark visible, every crater imaged, was the result of Syrian security forces, excluding the possibility that the admittedly armed “Free Syrian Army” may also share responsibility. Many times these casualty numbers are not even phoned in from Syria, but instead based on “third-hand” reports out of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, based in London.

Despite this, the UN has still admitted that Syrian rebels are likewise committing “abuses” comparable to the “widespread, systematic and gross human rights violations, amounting to crimes against humanity” the UN has accused the Syrian government of, only on a lesser scale. As seen in Libya, the only limiting factor to the scale of rebel atrocities is their ability to move throughout the country with impunity. Just as in Libya, should NATO intervene, the rebels will consolidate their positions and begin systematically advancing on Syrian government positions. The final result will be similar to what was observed in Sirte, Libya, where rebels admittedly cut off food, water, and electricity to the city in an effort to “starve” it out while NATO pounded it from the air.
http://libya360.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/sirte-after-nato-bombardments.jpg

Image: Homs? What about Sirte? Pictured is Sirte, Libya, after NATO-armed rebels surrounded it, cut off power, water, food, and emergency aid, and allowed NATO to bombard it with daily airstrikes before a final orgy of death and destruction left its streets and facades crumbling. This is the “civilian protection” the UN and its enforcement arm NATO plan on bringing to Syria.

….

What was left was a cratered, devastated, wasteland, created by NATO munitions, NATO-armed, funded, and trained rebels, media and diplomatic cover by the West, and UN complicity in direct violation of the very laws they are now selectively enforcing against Syria and its operations in Homs. If it is possible for the international community to justify a foreign military doing what was done to Sirte, Libya in a crowed population center with absolute impunity, how can a sovereign nation seeking to restore order in its own city be criticized let alone sanctioned economically or militarily?

The West has lost all moral authority – authority that only billions of dollars in manipulative media and military supremacy can buy – but is easily lost as the facade begins to crumble. How many more Syrian “Danny’s” or “Gay Girls in Damascus” are there, staging interviews, fabricating body-counts, and attempting to manipulate the good intentions of millions around the world? How long will the West attempt to convince the world that the Syrian rebels, admittedly armed, admittedly carrying out their own growing list of atrocities, and clearly infiltrated by Al Qaeda terrorists, are worthy of US diplomatic support, funding, training, weapons, and even US airpower?

Most importantly, how long are people going to allow themselves to be lied to, their intelligence insulted, before they decide to speak out, and commit to sanctioning with boycotts the corporations driving this agenda?

There was no widespread killing in Syria before the US State Department, John McCain’s International Republican Institute, and the National Endowment for Democracy trained, funded, and directed the unrest back in early 2011. Along every step of the way, instability, chaos and death in Syria has been the result of the West propping up these terrorists and perpetuating the deadly conflict as Syria’s government attempts to restore order.

With lies, atrocities, and open acts of war the West seeks to complete their predetermined regime change before turning their deceitful war-machine toward Tehran. But as the facade crumbles, they do so as a naked act of military aggression, as Hitlerian invaders, not hallowed liberators – their crimes, committed before the eyes of an awakening world, will echo through history.

Some Thoughts on Syria and Iran

by Andrew J. Fell
Activist Post
March 6, 2012

I had a disheartening conversation with my friend a few days ago. We were discussing, as we often do, the current geo-political events that are unraveling and the subject moved onto Syria pretty quickly. I don’t often watch TV, but I sat with him and watched some of the coverage pretending to be news and felt sick to my stomach; the media bandwagon is whooping and cheering its way into yet another conflict — deja vu doesn’t quite describe it.

The reason I said the conversation was disheartening is that not only did my friend, who is normally a staunch advocate of peace, feel that it was right for ‘us’ (as he put it) to be arming an armed insurgency in a sovereign country, but he strongly supports the West becoming embroiled in another regime change for the second time in a year.

This isn’t to say he is now a bad human being — far from it — merely that he, like most of the general population, continues to be duped, time and again by an ever more crafty military-industrial propaganda machine. Coverage from the BBC, CNN, CNBC and all the other ‘alphabet’ news agencies are testament to that — if one were to believe their word alone, this conflict has been a purely one-sided affair where President Assad has just suddenly decided to start massacring his civilian population for holding up some protest signs. I would say ten minutes research into these claims should put them to rest, or, at the very least, demonstrate that neither side is in the right. The key issue, once again, is not the information contained within the corporate media’s news coverage, but it is the systematic omission of key facts regarding the relevant background to these events — thus not allowing people to make their own critical decisions based upon all the information available. The question should be asked, how did this chain of events start in the first place?

The Assad government in Syria is not smelling of roses, but this whole scenario has been carefully set in motion from its inception via the pumping of money and training of armed groups by the Western powers — something admitted to only 2 years ago by the American Government — to its unfortunate, seemingly inevitable, conclusion: Assad being deposed and Syria [followed by Iran perhaps?] in chaos and flames. It’s pretty much the exact definition of the Hegelian Dialectic — problem, reaction, solution. For example, if the US had not been funding armed militants in Syria, there would be no unrest and therefore no interventionist solution would be required. The US hasn’t been funding the opposition in Saudi Arabia have they?

But what about the humanitarian situation? Isn’t it the moral duty of NATO, with the backing of the UN, to start bombing Syria in order that its civilians be saved, ergo the twisted logic of today’s mass media? The very suggestion that America is concerned about the humanitarian crisis is laughable to say the least; the examples of Bahrain, Iraq or Israel puts that to rest!

If the Americans were funding armed opposition groups in (lets pick some arbitrarily) Bahrain, Egypt, China, Oman, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Israel, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, Burma, Nigeria, Thailand, Morocco, Qatar — how do you think these governments would react? I would argue that not only would they react comparably, but in actuality even more ruthlessly; one only has to look at the brutal crackdown and murder of its own citizens during the uprising by both Bahraini and Saudi forces last year to see this in practice — not to mention the jailing of dozens of doctors for doing nothing more than assisting the injured. Similarly, there have been massacres committed in China (Ngaba) and Uzbekistan (Andijan) just within the past few years during protests there. There are many more examples throughout the world.

Imagine foreign-funded snipers taking pot-shots at the police in the UK? Not only would this be treated as an act of war, but I’m pretty sure the authorities would come down on them like a ton of bricks — just like they did in Northern Ireland in the not-so-distant past.

I’m not seeking to excuse the killing of civilians by Assad, and I’m not suggesting that we support these despotic governments, but we should look at the wider context of what is going on and how this particular state of affairs has been fomented from the start.

Who exactly is this opposition? Are they any better than Assad? Search for ‘US funding Syrian Opposition’ or ‘Syrian Opposition Terrorist’ and you will see articles including this one http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/us-secretly-backed-syrian-opposition-groups-cables-released-by-wikileaks-show/2011/04/14/AF1p9hwD_story.html which shows openly how the West has been posturing for this current stand-off for several years.  Or this: http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/02/intelligence-chief-concerned-about-al-qaeda-in-syria-conflict.  And this:  http://theintelhub.com/2012/02/20/two-us-senators-call-for-arming-syrian-opposition-filled-with-al-qaeda-terrorists which shows that the ‘intelligence’ [sic] services are fully aware that the very same people who are fighting US troops in Iraq are now being backed by the US in the insurgency in Syria. Wednesday — terrorist, Thursday — freedom fighter. It boggles the mind!

This rhetoric directed towards Syria is, of course, inexorably linked with that being directed toward its ally Iran with — and I say this with a sad heart — a larger regional war being the probable eventual outcome.

If we can recall, the media and the government prior to the Iraq invasion were absolutely adamant that not only did Saddam Hussein have WMD’s, but that he could use them in a matter of minutes, sexed up or not! The similarities between current reporting and the news stories, then, are staggering — have a quick watch of this video for some examples of this occurring:

I don’t believe, however, that Iran is trying to produce nuclear weapons, as has been confirmed by all 16 US Intelligence Agencies, theintelhub.com/2012/02/25/u-s-intelligence-agencies-agree-no-evidence-of-iranian-nuclear-weapons-program: http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/la-fg-iran-intel-20120224,0,5827032.story. And we shouldn’t forget that they, so far at least, have been developing their civilian nuclear program well within the auspices of their international commitments — it is in fact their right to do this, having signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (unlike Israel which never complies with any international sanctions or agreements directed towards them).

Another point worth considering: would the policies being put into place, the sanctions etc., actually not have the opposite effect and put Iran in the direction of actually trying to develop a nuclear capability due to their backs being against the wall? If this is the case, then the question must be posed, Why the hell would anybody in their right mind want to do this? Well, it’s a fairly easy question to answer — the elites are completely and utterly out of their minds with barely any semblance of rational morality!

However, let’s assume for the sake of argument that what they say concerning Iran’s nuclear ambitions has a semblance of truth. If we are to contemplate the logical process of Iran having WMD’s, we also have to consider what Iran would do if indeed they did have them.  I would say, without any hesitation, precisely nothing; just like if this had been the case of Saddam having them. Would Iran really attack nuclear-armed nations such as the US, Israel, or Britain? Would they hell! If they did develop this capability would it not serve as a deterrent, just like in the case of North Korea? I think, fairly obviously, it would. This is without going into the discussion on the morality of anyone having these horrendous, insane devices in the first place, but I feel the point is made.

One doesn’t have to look too hard to see that the West has been doing everything in their power to evoke a reaction from the Iranians. Here are but a few: the banning of all currency transactions with the non-Rothschild-owned Iranian Central Bank; the electronic blocking and subsequent banning of the broadcast of PressTV; the murder of Iranian nuclear scientists on the streets of Tehran; the positioning of carrier groups just outside of Iranian territorial waters; flimsily blaming very fishy attacks on Israeli diplomats on Iran; etc etc.

The global elites are not pursuing peace in any shape of form as they claim to be, which should be patently obvious to any rational observer; far from it, they are doing everything in their power to not only foment a war, but one the likes of which we have never seen. A war which would most likely drag in China and Russia, and truly polarize this world in which we live.

War, especially pre-emptive war, does not solve these issues, and only leads to more human misery without improving the plight of those who are having to live through it — look at Iraq — prima facie!

So, in conclusion, if what is being presented to us is not the truth then what is? This is a loaded question with a multitude of possible subsidiary questions which, together, probably all form a part of the real story. Some of these are below and not all of them tie in with my current thinking, but they should at the very least be put into consideration:

  • Is it a stepping stone along the way toward instituting a One World Government? Probably — in order for the elites to introduce their concept of a NWO (look up Tragedy and Hope by Carroll Quigley) they must first remove any obstacles from their path, and that would include regimes who are not sympathetic to their goals — Syria and Iran are quite firmly in this category.
  • Is the West deliberately attempting to draw the other great super-powers, China and Russia into an all-out war by squeezing them of both their influence and their oil supplies? Quite probably — Russia has a large naval presence in Syria, whilst China has lost major oil contracts with Libya and Sudan over the past year and is increasingly relying on Iran. It is also worth noting that Zbigniew Brzezinski, a key foreign policy adviser to Obama and previous administrations, has advocated through books such as the Grand Chessboard, the deliberate playing off of China and Russia through the disruption of China’s oil supplies from the Middle East, thus forcing them to look greedily northwards towards Siberia. A seemingly outlandish view on the face of it, but increasingly more likely once you look at a map and see how China’s supply lines are being increasingly taken away.
  • Are they purposefully destabilizing the Middle East in order to create an actual terrorist threat? Quite possibly — the actions of the past 10 years certainly could be explained somewhat by this, especially in the context of September 11th, the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan, which I think most people would agree have not reduced the so-called ‘terrorist threat’ by any measure of the imagination.
  • Is it part of the Zionist plan for a greater Israel of which Syria would be a part, or the Zionist/Evangelical Christian Belief (of which George Bush is one) that the ‘rapture’ will only come once there is a major conflict in the Middle East?  The fact that so many politicians in the west are publicly pro-Zionist in their philosophy gives more weight to this scenario. • Creating war will help save the world’s economy from meltdown? I doubt it — at most it would put the economic problems on hiatus.  However, considering that the world’s economic problems can largely by blamed on these same people who are creating these wars, I think that it is unlikely this is their reason for starting them.

I’ll leave it for you to decide what the real reasons are, for these are only some possible explanations for this seemingly inexplicable insanity. The only thing that I’m truly sure of at this point is that the pretext being fed to us for war is a lie and, personally, I’m trying to work backwards logically from that point.

We must learn our history and see that in many respects it is repeating itself.  It is a very Orwellian thing to say ‘war is peace and peace is war’ but that to me, in no uncertain terms, is exactly what is being presented to us. We should be outraged at this ridiculous state of affairs! Spread the word.
