Hand-Gun Fired: Nebraska School Says Deaf Toddler’s Name Sign Violates Weapons Policy

A Nebraska public school is barring a deaf three-year-old boy from using sign language to sign his name because, it claims, the gesture resembles a gun.
The school’s policies have prompted outrage from parents, rights groups and ordinary citizens.
Hunter Spanjer’s parents were informed by the Grand Island Public School that the way their child signed his name was a violation of the school’s weapons policy.
“He’s deaf, and his name sign, they say, is a violation of their weapons policy,” the boy’s father Brian Spanjer told Nebraska Central News (NCN).
The three-year-old uses Signing Exact English (SEE), a manual communication system mostly used by deaf children and based on the American Sign Language (ASL).
Spanjer crosses his index and middle fingers to show that his name sign is uniquely his.
“It’s a symbol,” his father stressed. “It’s an actual sign, a registered sign, through SEE.”
But the Grand Island Public Schools board policy 8470 prohibits students from possessing, handling or transmitting a “firearm, weapon” or anything that “looks like a weapon.”
“Such items will be considered weapons for the purposed (sic) of this policy,” the document states. “Students who are in possession of the aforementioned articles will be subject to mandatory suspension or expulsion procedures.”
The school has so far failed to produce an adequate explanation for how a three-year-old’s crossed index and middle fingers could be grounds for expulsion. A spokesperson for the facility said it was trying to arrive at the “best possible solution” for the child.
A number of civil rights groups derided the school’s policies, which effectively mean that the child would either have to change the way he signs his name or be deprived of the right to education.
“A name sign is the equivalent of a person’s name, and to prohibit a name sign is to prohibit a person’s name,” Howard Rosenblum, the CEO of the National Association of the Deaf was quoted by The Huffington Post as stating.
The American Civil Liberties Union also sent a letter to the local school district, asking it to rethink its policies.
Brian Spanjer also started a Facebook page to garner support for his son to be able to keep his name sign. Most of the commenters were amazed by the school’s extreme policies.
“What is this world coming to?” Facebook user Louise Arsenault Lanyon Kissinger noted. “There is so much more wrong in this world they could be worrying about [than] this little [boy’s] name in sign language. Oh please…”
Stacey Coar Philips remarked that the policy was right out of classic dystopian novels 1984 or Brave New World. Many others complained that the school was devoting too much attention to trivial issues instead of concentrating on real issues like education and actual security.

Anders Breivik declared sane, sentenced to at least 21 years in jail

Anders Behring Breivik has been found to be of sound mind and judgment and found guilty by a Norwegian court today. He has been sentenced to at least 21 years in prison.
Breivik has previously stated that a ruling pronouncing him sane would validate his crime as a political act.
He has been sentenced to at least 21 years in prison by a unanimous decision of the five-judge panel. After the original sentence has been served the court will reconsider whether he is still a danger to society at regular intervals.
Twenty-one years is the maximum sentence available to Norwegian courts.
Breivik, who had personally wanted a guilty verdict, portrayed himself during the trial as an anti-Muslim militant, claiming “armed revolution” was the only stop Norway from being systematically Islamized. He looked pleased as Judge Wenche Elisabeth Arntzen declared him sufficiently sane to be held criminally responsible.
The court’s reading of the verdict included details of Breivik’s preparations for Norway’s worst mass killings since World War II.
The judges repeated the particulars of the crime as Breivik had described it to them during the trial, how the fertilizer bomb that Breivik detonated was made, and how police confirmed that the bomb had been manufactured exactly as Breivik had explained.
Breivik had trained extensively for his killing spree. He had taken backpacks filled with stones on hiking trips to practice his shooting skills, as well as played computer games such as World of Warcraft and Modern Warfare II for the same purpose.
He also claimed that he had practiced a Japanese meditation technique designed to “de-emotionalize” himself during the shooting.
Police had taken blood and hair samples from him after the arrest showing that he had also been under the influence of a CNS stimulant.
Breivik gave a clenched fist salute at several hearings. According to Breivik’s manifesto, the clenched fist salute is the salute of knights Templar, symbolizing “strength, honor and defiance”.
Breivik made a video in 2010 entitled “Templar Knights 2083”, which he claimed was a shortened version of the manifesto.
“One of the most widespread manifestations of the craziness of our world is multiculturalism,” Breivik wrote in his rambling 1,500 page manifesto.
Elsewhere, he mentioned the “ghettofication” process happening across Europe, where immigrants are allegedly failing to assimilate into their host nations’ cultures.

Breivik pleaded guilty to killing 77 people in June 2011, first detonating a bomb in Oslo which left eight people dead, then on the same day killing 69 more – mostly teenagers – after going on a shooting spree at a Labour Party youth camp on Utoya Island.
Breivik claims he was protecting Norway against Islam and multiculturalism, which he accused the ruling Labour Party of promoting, and had promised to fight an “insanity” verdict that would deprive his act of political significance, calling psychiatric incarceration a “fate worse than death.”
“I think we all can agree that on July 22, a barbaric thing happened,” Breivik said while delivering a somewhat muddled closing statement in June.
“I carried out a small barbarism to stop a greater barbarism,” he said, referring to his view that Norway’s immigration policies had created a “demographic war” against non-Muslims, in which he felt obligated to defend himself.
Breivik’s lawyer Geir Lippestad had previously argued that to find Breivik insane would be a violation of his human rights, as it would deny him his role in carrying out “a political project.”
“If we look at the basic human rights and take into account that the defendant has a political project – to see his actions as an expression of illness is to take away a basic human right, the right to take responsibility for one’s own actions,” Lippestad insisted as the 10-week trial wrapped up in June.
The maximum 21-year sentence for Breivik could be extended if he is deemed a danger to society.
Breivik’s jail cell has been the subject of controversy. On the chance that Breivik was found not guilty by reason of insanity, Breivik would have been the sole patient of a psychiatric ward that cost 130,000 and 260,000 euro, built especially for him. According to Associated Press reports, 17 people would have been on staff to treat him.
As it is, Breivik currently occupies a three-room jail cell, equipped with a computer and treadmill, having access to a games room, television, newspapers and daily outdoor strolls. It is likely that he will now return to this cell.
Analysts had been conflicted on Breivik’s mental status. Initially, forensic psychiatrists Torgeir Husby and Synne Sørheim concluded that Breivik was suffering from paranoid schizophrenia, in a report issued last December.
Following a massive wave of criticism from legal and psychiatric experts, the court decided to appoint two new psychiatrists, who in April found that Breivik was legally of sound mind.

Empire State Building Shooting Wrongly Hyped as ‘Mass Shooting’ by Media?

In yet another ‘summer shooting’ involving a killer who is now being referred to by the media as the ‘Empire State Building shooter‘, recently-fired gunman Jeffrey Johnson fired on a co-worker before being gunned down by police outside of the Empire State Building in downtown New York City. A total of 9 bystanders were wounded and sent to a local hospital with expectations of survival, but what was the cause of their injury? The Empire State Building shooter may have actually had only a single target (according to virtually all the mainstream media sources at near the bottom of the page) — a co-worker which was gun downed before the incident.
What makes the Empire State Building shooter case quite different than the Batman shootings and the Sikh shootings is that the Empire State Building shooter appears to only have had a single target. The bulk of the wounded suspects seems like it was the result of a chaotic incident of police fire intended for Johnson, with potentially all of the injuries reportedly as a result of the police fire. Even Bloomberg admits that Johnson may have not shot any of the bystanders himself:
“Investigators were attempting to determine whether Johnson shot anyone beyond his initial target. Some of the surviving victims could have been hit by the two police officers who returned fire, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said.”
Major organizations like Reuters are already labeling it a mass shooting comparable to the Batman shooting and the Sikh temple killings, stating:
“It was the third mass shooting of the summer in the United States.”
Does this make it okay? Certainly not. This is an absolutely tragic event and Johnson most certainly displayed a mentally unstable and nefarious intent to kill another human being and return fire to police. The key aspect we are examining here is how the media is looking to turn this case into another mass shooting event without actually detailing the facts in the ‘readable’ area of the article. Instead, they stick these key facts far down below the opening paragraph and summary.
What this does is cause hysteria and label it another mass shooting to those who read headlines or the first paragraph summary. Why is this important? Because Johnson is stated to have used a semi-automatic weapon, which has led anti-gun proponents to immediately begin calling for stricter gun control and regulation. Considering it’s already illegal to be carrying a semi-automatic weapon in downtown New York City, it’s quite obvious that Johnson really isn’t a law-abiding citizen (these stricter regulations would only affect law-abiding citizens).
This latest ‘mass shooting’ as perpetuated by the mainstream media may be the final straw in terms of gun control and regulation, and we may see many individuals like New York’s Mayor Bloomberg go into overdrive in using this incident as a catalyst to push along the legislation. I would urge you to remember that the main point of this piece is to highlight that the mainstream media will take anything and spin it to not only generate the most response, but to further along an agenda.

Recent reports have surfaced that the Department of Homeland Security, The National Weather Service, and Social Security Administration are attempting to and purchasing large amounts of riot gear, bulletproof checkpoints, stop and go lights, and ammunition.
Most recently, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration purchased 46,000 hollow-point bullets.” This purchase order accompanies those from other agencies within the government, who are also purchasing large quantities of ammunition. The purchase orders for ammunition consist of 750+ million rounds of bullets which include hollow point organ damaging bullets, and wall piercing mag rounds. In a recent article, the Washington Times claims the purchase order for some 46,000 bullets was for “training officers in the NOAA Fisheries Office of Law Enforcement.
These bullets are for training? Hollow-point bullets can leave an exit hole the size of a grapefruit.What or who is our Government training its agents to shoot?
A purchase order was uncovered on FBO.gov which includes up to another 750 million rounds of various types of ammunition. It was “said” in the cover for the order they were to be used for training purposes yet with this amount of ammunition, bullet proof checkpoints, riot shields, painting everyday Americans as terrorists, and working with the Army the government seems to be training for an upcoming Civil War.
Madison Ruppert of End The Lie posted a YouTube a video called “End of the Line” claiming that the US government was obsessed with snatching up seemingly all the ammo on Earth to points of absurdity. He noted that we simply DO NOT have the money to be buying hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammunition for United States Government Agents to “train” with.
On August 16th the Social Security Administration followed DHS in a huge purchase of over 174,000 rounds of hollow point ammunition. This raises the question: Why would the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Department of Education, Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security need to purchase large quantities of powerful ammo?
According to several economists, including Peter Schiff, there is an ever-increasing likelihood of a financial collapse in America. It is a startling conclusion that portions of our government could be planning on turning the guns onto the American People in the event of such a collapse
Hollow point bullets have been Illegal in the international warfare since 1899 according to the Hague Convention. Yet a previous solicitation made by the DHS in May requests 450 million rounds of different types of ammo, which includes hollow points and .373 wall-penetrating mag rounds. If you’ve been keeping track, we are now up to 1.2 billion rounds of ammo for DHS alone.This adds to previous orders for riot gear, bulletproof checkpoint booths, stop and go lights, and over 2,700 Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles from Navistar Defense.
Neither the Social Security Administration nor NOAA should be buying such large quantities of hollow-point ammunition. This bullet shouldn’t even be used for target practice, because a hollow point is 2 to 3 times more expensive than a standard round.
As the Government purchases ammunition stores large enough to prepare for a full scale domestic war, it is also attempting to ban the online sale of ammunition, certain types of weapons, and taking direct action toward banning assault rifles.
The government is stocking up on bullets, weapons, MRAP’s and riot gear. At the same time it is trying to take weapons from the American people. What for? We don’t know, but we must find out before it’s too late.

Gun Control is Genocide. Why? Because throughout history, citizen disarmament has always been a precursor of mass genocide carried out by government gone bad. The term for it is “democide.”
In the last century, governments have murdered 262 million people — far more than have died on the battlefield in all the wars combined. Government becomes extremely dangerous when it controls all the firepower while the citizenry controls none. This imbalance of power leads to genocide.
It is only the presence of citizen firepower that prevents government — which is inherently evil and destructive — from enslaving the population.
The Second Amendment is the one right that defends all other rights.
