The United States is unprepared for an international fight that’s brewing over whether the Internet will remain free from government regulations or fall increasingly under the control of emerging global powers, Federal Communications Commissioner Robert McDowell warned Monday
“The proponents of Internet freedom and prosperity have been asleep at the switch,” Mr. McDowell, the lone Republican serving at the FCC, told editors and reporters at The Washington Times. “Or maybe I should say asleep at the router.”

Just when you thought the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) couldn’t possibly be more dangerous than has already been exposed with its declaration of global war, Martial Law, legalized bestiality, indefinite detention of Americans, and the $662 billion more spent; it has now been revealed that it also serves as a declaration of offensive cyber war.
Buried in the recently passed NDAA is a provision, perhaps just as dangerous as its other transgressions, that permits the Pentagon to wage an offensive cyberwar “to defend our Nation, Allies and interests.”
Section 954 of the NDAA titled Military Activities in Cyberspace received no debate in Congress as well as in the media. The section states clearly:
Congress affirms that the Department of Defense has the capability, and upon direction by the President may conduct offensive operations in cyberspace to defend our Nation, Allies and interests.
Even though there was virtually no debate about this provision by Congress or the press, the intention of action was expected. In July of this year, the Pentagon announced their strategy to treat cyberspace as an “operational domain” in their Department of Defense Strategy for Operating in Cyberspace.
“The United States reserves the right, under the laws of armed conflict, to respond to serious cyber attacks with a proportional and justified military response at the time and place of our choosing,” said Deputy Defense Secretary William Lynn at a speech announcing the new strategy.
The Department of Defense Strategy for Operating in Cyberspace (PDF) claims that “Hackers and foreign governments are increasingly able to launch sophisticated intrusions into the networks and systems that control critical civilian infrastructure.”
Yet, Wired correctly points out that “Despite mainstream news accounts, there’s been no documented hacking attacks on U.S. infrastructure designed to cripple it. A recent report from a post-9/11 intelligence fusion center that a water pump in Illinois had been destroyed by Russian hackers turned out to be baseless.”
Indeed, we first reported that the alleged hack attack on the Illinois water plant was propaganda from the beginning to end. Four days later the Federal government admitted it was not a cyber attack after the cyber scare was sold to the public.
If we’ve learned one thing from the recent past, the U.S. government doesn’t need real evidence or a real enemy to wage war. So what can we expect from this new authorization for the Pentagon to wage offensive war on the Internet?
Department of Defense outlines five strategic initiatives which are just organizational in nature:
1. DoD will treat cyberspace as an operational domain to organize, train, and equip so that DoD can take full advantage of cyberspace’s potential: Not only are they planning to create an army of cyber warriors, they also clam to have the authority to combat Internet threats with a traditional military response; “the United States reserves the right, under the laws of armed conflict, to respond to serious cyber attacks with a proportional and justified military response,” said Deputy Secretary Lynn.
2. DoD will employ new defense operating concepts to protect DoD networks and systems: “DoD will continue to operate and improve upon its advanced sensors to detect, discover, map, and mitigate malicious activity on DoD networks.” This is already being accomplished to monitor government employees through DARPA’s PRODIGAL project.
3. DoD will partner with other U.S. government departments and agencies and the private sector to enable the whole-of-government cybersecurity strategy. The Director of the National Security Agency is dual-hatted as the Commander of USCYBERCOM. The NSA connection means that Google and Facebook are already working for CYBERCOM. This coincides with Lieberman’s recent urging of Google to censor anti-West content. DoD is also announces collaboration with DHS for domestic surveillance.
4. DoD will build robust relationships with U.S. allies and international partners to strengthen collective cybersecurity: The goal is to “development of international shared situational awareness and warning capabilities will enable collective self-defense and collective deterrence.” This is also well underway with the recent London cyberspace summit which was admittedly used to work on a global Internet treaty.
5. DoD will leverage the nation’s ingenuity through an exceptional cyber workforce and rapid technological innovation: The intention is to fund and reward cyber warfare innovators. In other words, they’ll fund a new aspect of the military-industrial complex that pertains to cyber security.
Although neither the NDAA, nor the DoD road map gives many details for how exactly this offensive cyber warfare will be conducted, Wired reports that:
It’s likely to include things like unleashing a worm like the Stuxnet worm that damaged Iran’s nuclear centrifuges, hacking into another country’s power grid to bring it down, disabling websites via denial-of-service attacks, or as the CIA has already done with some collateral damage, hacking into a forum where would-be terrorists meet in order to permanently disable it.
Perhaps it is intended to just be a broad authorization to use force against anyone considered to be a threat on the Internet, much like the authorization to use force against Iraq in the war on terror. As the Deputy Secretary of Defense noted, the military is authorized to combat threats with a “justified military response.” Surely that sweeping authority won’t be abused, right?

Think about it. The more people who lose their homes and material wealth in this manipulated downturn, the more people who stop, think and re-evalute. The more people who realize the financial and political situation is engineered for the good of a very few and not the people, the more wake up. The more people who are directly offended by these draconian new anti-freedom laws and intrusive surveillance methods, the more startled, questioning and activated they will become.
And the more people who become aware it’s this way because that’s the way someone wants it, the more come to some alarming yet empowering conclusions.
This is what the New World Order is unwittingly precipitating, and they’re seeing it and they’re afraid. Here’s their admission by an Illuminist global strategist and a hint at their sinister solution:
“For the first time in human history almost all of humanity is politically activated, politically conscious and politically interactive… The resulting global political activism is generating a surge in the quest for personal dignity, cultural respect and economic opportunity…
[The] major world powers, new and old, also face a novel reality: while the lethality of their military might be greater than ever, their capacity to impose control over the politically awakened masses of the world is at a historic low. To put it bluntly: in earlier times, it was easier to control one million people than to physically kill one million people; today, it is infinitely easier to kill one million people than to control one million people.”
“Infinitely easier.” No options there. This wicked snake is one of Obama’s mentors and current advisers. But who’s looking?
Paths to the Wake Up
Beginning the search leading to a radical change in viewpoint can be precipitated by many things; personal financial ruin, the death of a loved one, a serious accident, experiencing the horrors of war, or a major health challenge. Any of these can drive someone to want to get the answers to the real questions in life–who are we, where are we, and why are we here?
It’s odd that so many don’t approach those fundamental questions before embarking on life, but that’s what the matrix does–it does everything it can to prevent human awakening. Why? Because our empowerment and understanding of our true unlimited identity and potential goes contrary to their control plan.
Whatever personal experience, discovery or realization precipitates this paradigm shift, one of the following categories will usually be highlighted that begins to shake people to their foundations and make them realize something’s very rotten in Denmark. Here are 7 just for starters:
1. The pro-profit anti-health conglomerate. This is possibly the best way to introduce people to the deliberate, orchestrated government backed abuse of humanity. It’s a great inroad just by pointing out, “Did you know the FDA approves more and more dangerous drugs, rather than less? Do you ever wonder why natural foods and supplements have been targeted for elimination while highly questionable tainted and genetically modified foods are given a free pass? Have you heard how many people have died or been seriously sickened by vaccines? Do you think it’s right pharmaceutical and big agra industry heads rotate as heads of the FDA?” The rest follows, but this field has been a major avenue towards a big wake up for many.
2. The Big Bank Fraud. Headline news for a long time with no change happening, all while people’s accounts get drained and even stolen by the likes of MF Global. The FED conspiracy has come to a much greater light, while the government clearly bails out the guilty. Do they think no one is looking? “If the banks are getting away with that now, how long have they been at it?” This has turned many into anti-bankster/corporate control activists and led to further serious dot connecting.
3. 9/11 and the Propagandized War Business. Finally anti-war folks are realizing Obama is an extension of a long line of war mongers. Like the stark truths of Pearl Harbor or Vietnam being engineered to get America into costly wars, the 9/11 wake up is difficult for many to swallow, it’s so all-encompassing and frightening. But it’s becoming increasingly clear to most Americans that at the least war is a big, costly business that’s draining our economy and has no end in sight. The 9/11 realization will take them “home” if they get it, but it’s according to each person’s willingness.
4. The Homeland Security Scam. Built on the false premise of 9/11, this Nazi era infrastructure of people monitoring is so over the top even your Sunday footballer is getting fed up. Cities are finally protesting these invasive and dangerous scans and searches, realizing this is absolutely uncalled for as well as dangerous. They’re pushing their limits, and have been for a long time.
5. Virtual Martial Law Provisions with Increased Censorship and Surveillance. The lines defining the category of conspiracy theorist are starting to blur as people witness for themselves they can be subjected to unlimited detention without trial and will soon see our own military on our streets, signalling a dramatic erosion of our constitution.That there hasn’t been more outrage is mind boggling. When they start to exercise this unlawful detention on innocent Americans we will see outrage as we’ve never seen.
6. The Geopolitical Awakening. These outrageous government takeover bids by the banking cartel is a huge catalyst for change. It is dissolving the lazy laissez faire public mindset and causing people from all walks of life to want to regain their national and ethnic identities. The collapse of the EU is the perfect example, but this is taking place across the globe, financially, politically and religiously. The harder the PTBs pound Islamic cultures the more they’re galvanized. The more they attempt to erase the Christian heritage and sovereignty of Americans the more ardently they’re clinging to their fundamental faith, values and Constitutional roots.
7. The Endtime Scenario. Whether spiritual, economic, political or geophysical, things are pointing to cataclysm. While the PTBs have been attempting to program humanity with as much fear as possible, just the realities of increased earthquakes and violent weather due to solar activity, magnetic field changes and galactic alignments are enough to make people stop and take notice. What would you do in such a calamity? How should you change your life now to prepare? Why does this all match up with some many prophecies? How should I prepare and care for my loved ones?
Even though the manipulators are exacerbating and taking advantage of current changes, there’s no way they can completely control geophysical, never mind profoundly spiritual change. But they’re trying. Just don’t help them, they can’t do it on their own.
The Power of the Individual
I believe the most important aspect of this wonderful worldwide awakening is the incredible power of the individual. By any one of us realizing our true potential, and living our lives accordingly, things change radically. We will naturally then influence anyone and anything in our sphere of influence. As others resonate and break free it then grows exponentially. All it takes is a little cooperation with Source, God, the Universe, whatever you want to call It.
When the options and means for living the essentially selfish, materialistic lives we’ve been taught to live start to fall away, people look for meaning in their lives. Many years ago I spoke to a Holocaust survivor in Holland who told me the best years of his life were his internment in a concentration camp. That may sound pretty extreme, but he said life became real to him for the first time. Every day had real meaning and he discovered the power of living in the moment. Friendships he made had profound importance, and most of all he discovered the spiritual side of life and the power of gratitude which he said made it worth it all.
It’s so easy to take things for granted, and when things are moving along fine for you, why rock the boat? It’s said 15% of Americans work for our bloated government bureaucracy. Let’s say they each have spouses, now you’re at 30%, or somewhere around there. When voting time comes and family decisions are made, do you really think they’re gonna vote for smaller government? It’s survival.
However, with a crashing economy many of these people will eventually be dumped, and hard. Think they’ll see things differently? It’s human nature. Now apply this to any sector out there, never mind the ongoing bankruptcies and foreclosures, and it’s like a room full of mousetraps loaded with ping pong balls going off.
And they’re gonna eventually find and plug into the truth!

Direct Revelations
Other things that can cause a shift in consciousness are psychedelic and kundalini experiences which are often life altering. Again, whether someone continues to pursue and live up to the fundamental truths than can be revealed is another issue. In the hippie generation I knew many who wanted to be a lawyer to defend the defenseless and next they’re a corporate whore. Others wanted to be a doctor to help the helpless and now they’re a highly paid hot shot who’s only other passion is golf – hitting a little ball around till it goes into a hole.
Living up to consciousness is contrary to worldly norms and can lead to isolation and humiliation. But it comes back in spades when you stick to your convictions. We all get waylaid but now’s the time for everyone to get back on board.
Paranormal experiences are another portal for drastic change. Many people’s lives are turned upside down after having contact with other dimensional entities. Once that has happened you world view changes, and your commitment or at least preferences and outlook become metaphysical and even mystical.
A good example of one of these consciousness shifts is brain scientist Jill Bolte Taylor’s “Stroke of Genius” experience which turned her into a worldwide speaker on the infinite power of consciousness instead of the mechanics of the brain. (Do watch the linked video.)

Increasing Calamities Means A Magnified Wake Up
The biggest difference between our era and previous ones is access to information, embodied by the internet. They say the enlightenment began when the printing press was invented. Radio and television catapulted society into a media crazed mind controlled mass of consumers.
But the internet is a whole other animal. It’s not fully managed and manipulated like TV, although they’re trying. It responds to you and your requests. And just about anything is available, all the time. So when someone has this initial life change..loss of job, home, security, personal calamity…they can turn to the internet and fill in the blanks. There they’ll find blogs from others who have gone through the same thing. They’ll hear others’ story of their wake ups and what it’s led to…which I would bet in the vast majority of cases has led to a whole new perspective and a more spiritual and fulfilling life.
But the support is there, the information is there. And then, when you learn to start asking the right questions it really gets interesting! No more mainstream controlled pablum, and it starts to shed some serious light in corners you didn’t even know existed!
The Wake Up Is Now
The wake up is here and well under way, despite the PTB’s efforts to ignore, belittle or ridicule. We’re going to hit critical mass very soon, and the sooner the better, because people are suffering unnecessarily. Only a world saturated with Love and Truth can ward off this evil we’re being bombarded with, and we each need to carry the torch boldly, bravely and continuously.
Do you talk to your check out person about the world situation and ask what they think? Do you stop and point out the chemtrails to people, gently but genuinely? Do you pass on and post information you find empowering and important that others would benefit from?
Rather than let people be run by mainstream mind-control triggers to buy, submit and fear, let’s pull a few triggers of our own. You never know who’s ripe and ready to take action from just that next bit of information or word of encouragement. We can’t force people but you’ll be surprised how many are already blossoming and would love to talk, at which time you can share some good websites and exchange emails perhaps. So many who’ve woken up are on their own amongst family or friends who think they’re nuts or paranoid, so anything we can do to reach out and help each other is huge!
It’s a great time to be alive! And I mean alive. I wouldn’t want to have my head in the sand when this next baby hits. The Ark that’s gonna save us this time is the Ark of Truth and Love, available to all!

Congress tries to pull a fast one: SOPA markup not delayed until 2012 after all

I must admit, I was excited when I read that the House Judiciary Committee was postponing wrapping up the markup process of the Stop Online Piracy Act, or SOPA, which I have previously shown to be a wildly dangerous bill.
Many observers, myself included, assumed that Lamar Smith would continue to push the Judiciary Committee in the SOPA markup process until they could muster a vote.
I believed that they would continue to press on even if it meant extending their session late into the night, but I was clearly wrong.
Smith adjourned the debate, which continued past 9 PM, despite what The Hill called, “his intent to plow ahead with the bill regardless of the objections and concerns raised.”
The Hill points out that an extended delay will likely be a boon for the many opponents to SOPA who have been rallying support and informing the public, especially amongst the online community.
They rightly point out that not only does SOPA have strong support on the House Judiciary Committee from both parties, but also some powerful lobbies as well.
They briefly mention these “influential interests” which have been behind the constant push of SOPA and the sister legislation, the PROTECT IP Act, or PIPA.
The Hill includes “the entertainment industry, U.S. Chamber of Commerce and organized labor,” but this minimizes just how powerful and massive the pro-SOPA/PIPA lobby really is.
Some of the other influential interests include, the National Governors Association, the Fraternal Order of Police, the U.S. Conference of Mayors, the National Conference of Legislatures, the National Association of Attorneys General, the Better Business Bureau, the AFL-CIO along with over 20 other unions, the National Consumers league, and many major corporations.
This backing is daunting, to say the least, but the true internet pioneers stand united in opposition to the draconian SOPA/PIPA legislation.
As I have previously noted, the opposition to the bill includes internet giants like, “Facebook, Google, Yahoo, eBay, Twitter, Craigslist, Flickr, PayPal, Reddit, AOL, LinkedIn, Wikipedia, Tumblr and others.”
They all point to the fact that SOPA will stifle creativity and innovation on the internet, one of the few sectors of the American economy that couldn’t be easily shipped overseas or regulated out of existence – until now.
Unfortunately it appears that the proponents are winning, at least that is the impression given by The Hill in writing, “The legislation still appears likely to pass the Judiciary Committee by a two-to-one margin.”
Hardly a comforting thought for those of us who value the freedom of the internet and the ability to operate our websites without fear of being targeted for harassment or shutdown.
TechDirt published that with Smith bringing the meetings to a close, they likely wouldn’t begin the discussions again “until late January.”
They, like me, considered it a representation of “a very brief, but significant, victory for those in favor of internet freedom and against internet censorship in the US.”
They rightly point out that the pro-SOPA/PIPA lobby is not going to stop pushing “very, very, very hard” to get it passed as hastily as possible, just as all destructive legislation is pushed through before people can properly analyze and debate it, as evidenced by the PATRIOT Act.
TechDirt also seems to share my amazement at how quickly the grassroots opposition to this censorship legislation has cropped up and how an otherwise obscure issue has been brought to the forefront with alacrity.
They point to the constantly growing popular opposition which is coming from wildly varied sectors and is only increasing in strength as the days go by.
This is likely why the Judiciary Committee decided to continue the markup this coming Wednesday, instead of allowing a break and thus additional time for the opposition to gain support by making the reality of this restrictive legislation known to the public.
Instead of convening in late January as they would have otherwise, they will be making the rather unusual decision to return next week, which is odd given that the corrupt politicians in Washington tend to do everything possible to avoid actually working.
TechDirt points to this ad evidence of “just how desperate Hollywood is to pass this bill as quickly as possible, before the momentum of opposition builds up even further.”
I just hope that the realization of what this legislation really means will begin to reach a kind of critical mass and grow exponentially from there.
If not, we will see yet another liberty-stripping bill get disgusting levels of support from our so-called Representatives who continue to do a bang-up job of proving that they work for their corporate financiers and not the people of the United States.

Anonymous attacking creators of indefinite detention bill

With President Obama read to sign away the freedoms of Americans by inking his name to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012, opponents are already going after the lawmakers that made the legislation possible.
The act, abbreviated as NDAA FY2012, managed to make its way through Congress with overwhelming support in recent days, despite legislation that allows for Americans to be detained indefinitely and tortured by authorities for the mere suspicion of committing “a belligerent act.” The Obama administration originally decreed that they would veto the bill, only for the White House to announce a change of heart on Wednesday this week.
With the passing of the act almost certain at this point, hackers aligned to the massive collective Anonymous are taking a stab at staking out the politicians that helped put the bill in the president’s hands.
On Wednesday, Internet hacktivists gathered on the Web to find a way to take on the lawmakers, who have allowed for this detrimental legislation to make it all the way to the Oval Office desk. Upon discussion of routes to take to show their opposition to the overwhelming number of politicians who voted in favor of NDAA, Anonymous members agreed to begin with Senator Robert J Portman, a Republican lawmaker from the state of Ohio.
By Thursday morning, an Anonymous operative released personal information pertaining to the lawmaker, and revealed that not only was Sen. Portman among the politicians to vote “aye” on the legislation, but it has also been revealed that the senator had good reason to do so.
According to a OpenCongress.org, Sen. Portman received $272,853 from special interest groups that have shown support for NDAA.
“Robert J. Portman, we plan to make an example of you,” writes an Anonymous operative. The hacktivist has also released personal data including the senator’s home address, phone number and social networking accounts in an attempt to further an infiltration from the Internet to show the opposition to the bill that colossally impacts the constitutional rights of Americans.
According to the information posted by the operative, the nearly $300,000 in special interest monies lobbied at Portman could have helped him purchase around $1.7 million in real estate in Ohio.
The next lawmaker to receive anywhere near as much as Sen. Portman is Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Democrat from Nevada and third-ranked official in Congress, who pulled in more than $100,000 less than his Ohio counterpart with $172,635.
Among the supporters of NDAA are California-based manufacturer Surefire, L.L.C., who won a $23 million contract from the Department of Defense three months ago. Also contributing to the cause (and the lawmakers who voted ‘yes’) are Honeywell (who secured a $93 million deal with the Pentagon last May and a $24 million contract this year) and Bluewater Defense, a longtime DoD-ally that produces, among other garments, fire resistant combat uniforms.
When the military storms down your door for suspicion of “belligerent” acts, you can thank Bluewater and Senator Portman for the lovely flame-proof attire the soldiers will be donned in as they haul you off to Gitmo.

Washington State Military Units Prepare for Cyber War – Police State Censorship

JOINT BASE LEWIS-McCHORD, Wash. (AP) – In the next war, one of the battlescapes is likely to include a brick building shaded by fir trees, not far from Interstate 5, north of Olympia.
The two-story building, with office space downstairs and shared computer work spaces upstairs, is home to the Washington National Guard’s 262nd Network Warfare Squadron, a unit assigned to provide cyberdefense and unspecified forms of cyberoffense to guard critical U.S. infrastructure, starting with military computer networks.
While its roughly 100 members are fully qualified Air National Guard troops, they control keyboards and wield digital network expertise — not fighter jets, nor aerial drones.
Many of them are drawn from the rich information technology culture of the Seattle area, home to Microsoft Corp., Amazon Inc. and a profusion of software and networking companies. In many ways, their jobs in uniform aren’t very different from their civilian jobs.
