Almost two dozen people including two 10-year-old children have been injured after as many as three gunmen opened fire at a ‘second line’ of a parade on Mother’s Day in New Orleans. Three people remain in critical condition following the shootout.
Over 300 people were participating in the residential festival, on Frenchmen Street, in the east of the city, when several shots were fired. The incident occurred around 2pm local time (19:00 GMT) on Sunday.
“We have mothers, sisters, little children who were shot,” New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu told local press.
Nine people were immediately taken to University Hospital by emergency responders, eight of whom were suffering from gunshot wounds, according to local channel WWLTV. One more being treated was injured in an attempt to escape from the shooting.
A New Orleans doctor confirmed to reporters that he has had to treat ‘severe injuries’ including wounds to the chest and abdomen.
Further victims were taken to different hospitals in the region.
The majority of the injuries are not considered life-threatening, and no fatalities have been confirmed, but three are reportedly in a critical condition.

This Petition is to ask Congress to immediately implement legislation to stop the fraudulent diagnosis and detention of involuntary human research subjects as mentally ill without proper validation as set forth by individual State policies and procedure. Victims may also be used as non-consensual human research subjects of military training. In a 2013 report of the United Nations it was said that forced psychiatric treatment IS torture. This crime is currently being investigated by the United Nations World Organisation on Torture Twenty-second Session of the General Assembly
These false and forced institutionalizations based on fraudulent diagnoses are being used to isolate, silence and ruin the credibility of (as former Congressman Kucinich stated, “high-valued targets”), victims. These diagnoses create doubt of the victim’s statements of abuses by these many technologies. Such false and invalid diagnoses are also used to ‘cloak’ non-consensual human experimentation testing and evaluation of various technologies, and other crimes against humanity.
Former Ohio Senator John Glenn introduced the Human Research Protection Act to Congress in January 1997 (S.196). Former Senator Glenn’s speech as reported in the Congressional Record is shown below. Former President William Clinton issued Executive Order 12975 October 3, 1995 to regulate research on human subjects named Protection of Human Research Subjects and Creation of National Bioethics Advisory Commission. A memorandum was issued March 27, 1997 by President Clinton strengthening the protection of use of human subjects in military “Classified” research. Ohio Representative Dennis Kucinich introduced the Space Preservation Act in October 2001 (HR 1977), asking Congress to ban the use of military space weapons in the United States which included psychotronic weapons. Patents for military technology have been identified as the cause of many claims of psychological and emotional harassment. Thousands of people in the United States of America are reporting to be targets of the military (during their many training missions) and targets of government research and contractors of remote neural monitoring and behavior influence technology via the use of Directed Energy Weapons and electronic harassment. A significant percentage of these people have been forcefully admitted to mental institutions and psychiatric hospitals as a result of filing complaints of such harassment. False diagnoses have been used to label the victim with schizophrenia and/or delusional disorders. Depression is another diagnosis usual to this type of psychological and physical mistreatment of humans which fits the description of torture. Some of the victims have found that their mothers were also victimized by some psychological symptoms that can now be attributed to the use of this technology on them. Many sources of testing, including MRI, fMRI, CT-Scan, EEG and testing the chemistry of the blood, is available today to aid in the identification of a specific mental illness and to rule out diseases of the brain. Yet, most of these victims will tell you that a stigmatizing diagnosis of mental illness was made after just a verbal conversation with a psychiatrist, psychologist or other medical professional. Sometimes this would have been just a Crisis Team representative at a hospital Emergency Room or by a mental health center intake worker.

A girl aged ten was told by police that she could be arrested for causing criminal damage – over a game of hopscotch.
Lilly-May Allen was playing with a friend on a grid she had chalked on the pavement in front of her home when a marked police van pulled up.
An officer warned the girls that using chalk on the pavement was criminal damage and they could be arrested for it, before driving off.
But the girls did not understand what they had done wrong and Lilly-May is now reluctant to play outside, according to her father.
After Lilly-May told her parents about the incident, they called the police to clarify the law, but officers refused to confirm whether drawing a hopscotch grid in chalk on the pavement was an offence – even though it washes away in the rain.
The girl’s father, Bob Allen, 51, who runs his own karaoke business, said: ‘The policeman said to her that what she had done was criminal damage and she could be arrested. He then drove off.
‘She didn’t come into the house for a while and didn’t tell us straight away because she thought I was going to tell her off for being naughty.

California dad ‘begged for his life’ as police beat him to death – witnesses

A California father of four died Wednesday shortly after a group of police allegedly beat him with batons as he lay defenseless on the sidewalk. Cops, before confiscating witness’ cameras, also reportedly unleashed a canine unit on him.
David Sal Silva, 33, allegedly resisted when police approached him to ask if he was who neighbors called about to complain of an intoxicated man in the area. The officers called for backup and, witnesses told the Bakersfield Californian, Silva was soon being beaten in the face and upper body by as many as nine policemen and their batons. At least one of the cops reportedly held a German Shepherd on a leash nearby.
Witnesses who had recorded the events on their cell phone cameras had the devices confiscated by officers, who claimed the footage was part of a police investigation that could yield evidence. The Sherriff’s Department has released the names of seven officers who were on the scene, but the identities of the California Highway Patrol police who were also there have not yet been made public.
“When I got outside I saw two officers beating a man with batons, and they were hitting his head so every time they would swing, I could hear the blows to his head,” said witness Ruben Ceballos, who told the Californian the noise was so loud it woke him up.

“His body was just lying on the street and before the ambulance arrived one of the officers performed CPR on him and another used a flashlight on his eyes but I’m sure he was already dead.”
Police have refused to comment, citing an ongoing investigation that could take years to complete, but relatives have demanded the cell phone footage be made public.
“My brother spent the last eight minutes of his life pleading, begging for his life,” said Christopher Silva, 31. “The true evidence is in those phone witnesses that apparently the sheriff deputies already took. But I know the truth will come out and my brother’s voice will be heard.”
An autopsy was completed Thursday but the cause of death’s release is pending a toxicology report and microscopic studies, the local coroner’s office told the Bakersfield Californian Friday.
The family has hired attorney David Cohn, who told reporters they plan to file a civil rights lawsuit in federal district court next week. He sent a letter formally requesting that law enforcement agencies do not tamper with the video evidence on the phones.
“We all know that a picture is worth a thousand words,” Cohn said. “And thank God we have concerned citizens who take video and pictures of incidents like this and who are ultimately policing the police … But we will get to the bottom of this and I ask the sheriff’s department once again, what are you hiding?”
