French medical staff, and particularly doctors and surgeons are on indefinite strike. They are holding a demonstration in the heart of the French capital as they protest against the recently agreed rates patients have to pay. They also claim: they do long hours for no extra pay. Thousands have traveled from all over France to demonstrate against the French Minister of health.

Bill C-309 has passed the house and is on it’s way to the Senate to be made into law. Under this bill police would have the ability to arrest anyone who chooses to remain anonymous while attending an “unlawful assembly”. The criminalization of dissent is underway but this will not deter the Canadian people from having our voices heard.

The Bahraini Al Khalifa monarchy serves only its own interests, representing a form of feudalism which usurps the people, a prominent political analyst tells Press TV.
Bahraini protesters have once again held demonstrations against the Al Khalifa regime in several towns on Friday after the Eid al-Adha prayers, with protesters calling for the downfall of the Manama regime.
The demonstrators also demanded an end to the regime’s violent crackdown on peaceful protests.
Bahrain’s revolution began in mid-February 2011. The government promptly launched a brutal crackdown on the protests and called in Saudi-led Arab forces from neighboring Persian Gulf states to help crush the demonstrations.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Rodney Shakespeare, chairman of the Committee against Torture in Bahrain, from London, to further discuss the issue.

Established 4 years ago the Halifax International Security Forum, based in Washington, D.C., will take place Nov. 16-18 at the Westin hotel.
Warmongers from more than 40 countries will join Peter MacKay and some 300 others at the Forum “to learn from each other, share opinions, generate new ideas, and put them into action.”
This is all looked at from the perspective that as the world’s sole superpower, the U.S. is free to dictate to the peoples of the world as it pleases.

The issue is that imperialism/domination has been disguised as a humanitarian effort and people just keep eating up propaganda that is urging them to support the slaughter of other countries in the name of honour and justice.
I can’t deny that the NSPIRG logo reminds me of the OTPOR logo and (while that could be a coincidence) it is noteworthy that OTPOR/CANVAS has been one of the main culprits involved in various US-backed regime change operations (serving as controlled-opposition) so I’ll be keeping a close eye on NSPIRG in order to maintain a healthy level of skepticism…
That said, Canada’s foreign policy threatens to play a significant role in igniting a 3rd World War. That is something I think few people on this planet would actually want when all is said and done. It seems like a big subject but to me it’s just common sense. You simply can’t help people by bombing them. That is the opposite of help. Bombs cause destruction. They don’t transform into bananas on the way down or anything like that. They explode and inflict widespread carnage ending many innocent people’s lives. Bullets don’t turn into fries before they hit a person. They maintain their metallic structure and blood gets spilled. If you value the sovereignty of other countries, please join us in asking difficult questions, raising awareness and challenging the orthodox narrative that we are constantly force-fed by our corrupt mainstream media.]
