Chaos, clashes & religious tension: Fruits of Egypt revolution [video]

The worst violence Egypt has seen in months is stoking political tensions in the country, ahead of the Presidential election. At least 11 people were killed and around 100 injured, when a group of unknown assailants attacked protesters early on Wednesday, sparking further fierce clashes. The protesters were staging a sit-in near the country’s Ministry of Defense, voicing their anger at the banning of an Islamist candidate from the election. Various political forces have rushed to blame the ruling military for the bloodshed. While the generals say they’ll hand over power to civilians if the outcome of the Presidential vote is decided in the first round, many fear that it will do little to quell the chaos, or lead to prompt democratic reforms. No-Fly Zone To Be Enforced By Shoot-To-Kill Order During NATO Summit [video included]

CHICAGO (CBS) — Plans to keep residents and dignitaries safe during the NATO Summit include a no-fly zone, with a shoot-to-kill warning for those who break the ban.
As CBS 2’s Susanna Song reports, the government is informing small plane pilots that if they enter the no-fly zone during the summit, they may be shot down.
This is no joke. It will be enforced for May 19 to May 21.
The flight advisory was issued by the Federal Aviation Administration. The advisory bans non-commercial aircraft from flying within 10 nautical miles of downtown Chicago and below 18,000 feet.

This is a May Day America hasn’t seen in years. Even though this holiday originated in the US only to become popular worldwide, it hadn’t been massively celebrated in its home country. Something changed this year, however, after thousands of demonstrators took to the streets of American cities from coast to coast. The spirit of the Occupy Wall Street movement was alive and well once again in New York City on May 1. After months of relative slacking, thousands of activists were back to the streets of the Big Apple and with them came droves of new protesters demanding a change.
