‘Occupy’ Protesters Listed As Domestic Terrorists
Demonstrators characterized in same context as Al-Qaeda, Colombian FARC
Occupy London demonstrators have been listed as domestic terrorists by the City of London Police, who characterized them in the same context as Al-Qaeda, the Colombian FARC and Belarusian terrorists who bombed the Minsk underground.
“The City of London Police force was facing criticism last night after including the Occupy London demonstration in a letter warning businesses about potential terrorist threats,” reports the Independent.
Police admitted the leaflet, entitled, “Terrorism/Extremism Update,” was produced by them but claimed it was “poorly worded”.
“Activism is not a crime and the desire to participate in democratic decision-making should not be a cause for concern for the police in any free society,” said an Occupy London representative.
Previous advertising campaigns by other law enforcement bodies in London educated the public that behavior such as paying with cash, keeping curtains closed, or minding your own business were all signs of potential terrorism.
One radio commercial, produced by the The Association of Chief Police Officers (Acpo), was later banned because it smeared law-abiding citizens and could “encourage people to harass or victimise their neighbours and was appealing to people’s fear.”
As we reported earlier, ‘Occupy’ demonstrators over the pond in Portland staged a march yesterday to protest the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act, which under Section 1031 could lead to demonstrators being carted off to detention camps and held without trial.
The Department of Defense is now training its personnel that protest amounts to “low-level terrorism” through tests that DoD staffers are required to take on a yearly basis.
Whether you agree with the grievances of the ‘Occupy’ movement or not, the fact that protest groups are now being designated as domestic terrorists underscores the fact that governments now treat dissent and the exercise of freedoms as a suspicious activity.
Yet weren’t we told the terrorists attacked us because they hate our freedoms? It appears as if the terrorists have won.

The moment Occupy protesters found a plain-clothes cop in their midst (video)

Usually, it is the police who kettle protesters. The tables were turned, though, when demonstrators unmasked and surrounded a plain-clothes officer who had infiltrated their midst during this week’s public sector protests.
The hoodie-wearing interloper was discovered by protesters from the Occupy movement from St Paul’s while they were attempting to take over a building near Piccadilly Circus in central London on Wednesday.
The incident, which occurred outside the offices of the mining company Xstrata, was captured on video by The Independent(above, left). Protesters asked the man whether he worked for the Metropolitan Police. He can be seen in the film nodding and answering: “Yeah, I’m a Met Police officer, yeah.”
At that, one of the group said: “Right, let’s circle him so he can’t go anywhere.” Protesters duly surrounded the officer, chanting “shame on you”. Within moments the chants turned to “scum, scum, scum”. One protester was heard to say: “He has no uniform and no [badge] number… we have no way of identifying him, so how are we supposed to complain about him.”

Video: Hundreds arrested as thousands protest Russia’s vote (video)
RT

The parliamentary election results have left opposition supporters in an angry mood. Moscow has seen crowds of up to 10,000 take to the streets; over 300 have been arrested, reports RIA Novosti news agency. Police have counted 2,000 demonstrators, but unofficial estimates say up to 10,000 people made their way to Chistye Prudy Park to attend a meeting staged by the opposition movement “Solidarnost” (Solidarity). “Shame!” chanted the crowd. The demonstrators claimed the United Russia party had rigged the voting results. Meanwhile, as the Central Election Commission has almost done its counting, United Russia is coming in with almost 50 per cent of the vote. Police had already cordoned the area off for a meeting, which only 700 people had been authorized to join. As the stream of people increased, the designated area overflowed and the crowds spilled into a neighboring area. When they started to block the traffic, police began arresting protesters.
