Help Save Liberty in Coos County, Oregon

Anti-NDAA legislation has been proposed in Coos County, Oregon. The fate of liberty in that county
rests on their commissioners’ upcoming votes. As they harbor different feelings toward the anti-NDAA
resolution, your help is critical.

Bob Main supports defeating the NDAA, including sections 1021 and 1022, which violate several
aspects of the U.S. Constitution. Thank him for honoring his sworn oath to uphold and defending the
Constitution.

Melissa Cribbins is on the fence. Politely remind her of her oath. Mention that by stopping the NDAA,
she protects her citizens.

Chairman John Sweet appears to support the NDAA at present. He may feel it’s a federal matter and
doesn’t affect his county. Respectfully remind him of his oath to the Constitution, and encourage him to vote ‘yes’ for the anti-NDAA resolution in Coos County.

Please contact the Coos County commissioners now.

NDAA Defeated in League City, TX – Vote in Texas State House Imminent

P.A.N.D.A. People Against The NDAA
April 4, 2013

The City Council of League City, Texas voted 7-1 to reject NDAA’s unconstitutional mandates. As the bill states, the NDAA authorizes:

“1) detainment of persons captured within the United States of America without charge or trial, 2) military tribunals for persons captured within the United States of America, and 3) the transfer of persons captured within the United States of America to foreign jurisdictions, are repugnant to the ‘general, great and essential principles of liberty and free government’ enshrined in Article 1 of the Texas Constitution.”

The resolution instructs League City’s public agencies to refuse compliance with NDAA action against anyone. As former New Jersey Superior Court Judge Andrew Napolitano said recently, widespread noncompliance can make a federal law “nearly impossible to enforce”.

Council Member Heidi Theiss sponsored the League City bill and afterward offered thanks to her fellow Council members. Moreover, Theiss said in her Facebook victory announcement:

“there is strong legislation in our state capital that needs to pass [in order] to refuse the use and abuse of federal power against American citizens.” She refers to HB 149, which just had a hearing in a committee of the Texas State House. It will need passing votes in two committees before moving to the full House.

You can help stop NDAA’s violation of your constitutional rights.

If you live in Texas, please contact the committee chair of Federalism and Fiscal Responsibility, Brandon Creighton. Politely request Representative Creighton to vote YES on HB149.

Europe’s cocaine supply disrupted by war in Mali

21stCenturyWire.com
March 16, 2013

Al Arabiya

France’s intervention in northern Mali against Islamist extremists has disrupted the supply of cocaine to Europe, reported Middle East Online. In January, France sent in troops to combat al-Qaeda linked extremists who controlled the northern swathe of the country for nine months and were threatening to extend their reach southwards towards the capital Bamako.

Extremist groups have long engaged in the lucrative drug running business as a means to secure funding. A common practice was to levy taxes upon smugglers running drugs sourced in Latin America, via Mali, to feed Europe’s growing market.

The lack of any real government or police presence in the north of Mali facilitated the drug-trade.

Typically, drugs are shipped to the Gulf of Guinea or flown directly in from Venezuela into Mauritania or Mali where they are stored and eventually transported to the Mediterranean’s southern shores.

This route is commonly referred to as “Highway 10,” in reference to the line of latitude which cuts through Columbia, Venezuela, Guinea and Nigeria; the 10th parallel.

The U.N.’s office on Drugs and Crime released a recent report that stated around 10 percent of the 172 tons of pure cocaine that found its way to Europe in 2010, transited through West Africa.

France’s military intervention in Mali has “totally disrupted the trafficking of drugs, weapons and migrants in the region, smashing up all the networks transiting through northern Mali,” French researcher Mathieu Guidere was quoted by Middle East Online as saying.

French special forces pressured some of the jihadist groups’ most remote bases, “this has sent everyone scurrying away but they are all trying to set up new routes,” Guidere said.

Alain Rodier, head of France’s CF2R intelligence research center, said regional smuggling networks had already been disturbed by Arab Spring revolutions in Tunisia and Libya.

“Traffickers however are continuing their business by using other routes, which demonstrates their ability to adapt,” he said.

Smugglers have always adapted to new situations, said criminologist Xavier Raufer, who pointed out that the supply of cocaine from Latin America to Europe has never once broken in 40 years.

“You can never draw accurate maps of cocaine trafficking because the routes have already changed by the time the ink dries up,” he explained.

Cyprus And The Canadian Connection [video]

Press For Truth
April 4, 2013

The great Cypriot bank heist could soon be coming to the west as Canadian financial institutions along with the Canadian government have outlined their plans for a Cyprus styled bail in regime in the Economic Action Plan of 2013.

Your money is officially no longer safe in any of the major Canadian banks. As we’ve witnessed in Cyprus the Canadian government will be looking to loot the accounts of depositors in the event that one or more of the “too big to fail” banks depletes its capital to the point of no return. The failed system of fractional reserve lending has proven disastrous and the time has come to protect your assets from being stolen by the government.

Security forces used teargas after crowds tried to breach the Egyptian High Court building in Cairo, during a rally to mark the 6th of April anniversary in Cairo. Reports say mass rallies quickly turned sour, leading to injured protesters.

Thousands of protesters have joined the Cairo rally marking the birth of the 6 April movement, whilst also expressing their “dissent” against Egypt’s President Mohammed Morsi’s latest moves.

The annual march which began in a jubilant mood, in Giza’s Mohandeseen neighborhood, south of the capital, grew tense after reaching the prosecutor-general’s office in downtown Cairo.

According to Ahram Online, a number of protesters started banging on the doors of the High Court, where the prosecutor-general’s office is located, whilst some hurled fireworks at the building’s windows. The High Court security retaliated by firing “huge volleys of teargas” from inside the building.

Police arriving at the scene also employed teargas, as well as armored vehicles, to separate the crowds of protesters from the High Court building and block the nearest street intersection.

Several people have reportedly been injured in the resulting havoc, and dozens of ambulances have been deployed. No numbers of injured have yet been released by the Egyptian Ministry of Health.
