Don’t Be Alarmed: Troops Train For Martial Law With Tanks on the Streets of America As Corporate Media Runs Cover Up [videos included]

By Alex Thomas

June 25, 2012

In a move that many have seen as yet another sign of the continued push towards martial law and the normal use of troops on the streets of America, the U.S. Army is currently “training” throughout St. Louis, complete with 100′s of heavily armored military vehicles driving through St Louis neighborhoods.

The exercise, part of a program to train military police to drive heavily armored vehicles through highways and city streets, has drawn widespread criticism throughout the alternative media while the corporate media has essentially worshiped it, going out of their way to distort the facts in their numerous propaganda pieces on the subject.

In an initial report by a local corporate news outlet that was prompted by hundreds of calls from concerned citizens who had, in a scene more reminiscent of North Korea than a supposed free country, seen the military rolling through their neighborhood, the media simply told the citizens to not be alarmed.

The absurd reporting by the corporate media is simply a continuation of their shilling for the military industrial complex and the globalist takeover of America.

To add to this absurdity, the military officer in the report basically told U.S. citizens to not film armored vehicles rolling through THEIR neighborhoods.

Now, in a report by another corporate media lackey, those that have spoken out against this martial law type training have been attacked and labeled as cooky conspiracy theorists even though there are literally dozens of open admissions by the military that they are planning to use troops on American streets.

Nearly every local news outlet has reported the story:

This week the Army plans to drive armored vehicles through city streets as part of a training exercise it is holding at its reserve center in north St. Louis.

But it was KSDK’s version of the story last Thursday that really ignited the crazies.

Like Orson Welles’ broadcast of War of the Worlds, KSDK anchorman Mike Bush began the 10 p.m. newscast.

The author of this hit piece apparently thinks so low of his readers that he is actually labeling those that read official Army statements as crazies.

Last year we reported on a plan by the Pentagon to deploy a 20,000 strong (that is only the admitted number) force INSIDE the United States to trained and deployed by late 2011.

In 2008 The Pentagon announced plans to deploy a 20,000 strong internal troop force inside the continental United States (CONUS) that was set to be trained by 2011, thus dovetailing into the current troop and equipment movements around the country reported by truckers as well as many more troop sightings by everyday citizens.

We also noted how this directly correlates with a major Rand Corporation policy paper that called for a military police force to operate inside the country.

Interestingly enough, this plan directly correlates with a 2009, Army funded, Rand Corporation study that called for an internal United States police force to combat civil unrest.

The Pentagon has been training to use either U.S. troops or foreign military against the American people for years. There are literally hundreds of examples of this happening yet all we get from the corporate media is either direct lies or claims that the takeover is actually good.

Foreign Affairs, the influential globalist mouthpiece of the Council on Foreign Relations, has recently called for the Army to be used in a local police force capacity.

An article published in the May/June issue of Foreign Affairs, the mouthpiece for the influential Council on Foreign Relations, Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, General Raymond T. Odierno, advocates the army be “transitioned” into a more “flexible force” by deploying in situations normally reserved for domestic law enforcement officials. He argues that by doing so, troops will be better equipped to deal with conflict elsewhere.

In 2011 we again reported on the startling fact that the Air Force was actually taking part in arrests in local convenience stores.

In Florida City The Air Force has set up a crime hotline, which has now been removed from their website, as well as taken part in arrests at local convenience stores.

On July 15, military police – known as Security Forces patrolmen – detained a criminal suspect at a Circle K in until Miami-Dade police arrived.

In April of this year heavily armed military officers descended on downtown Chicago in black helicopters which was again labeled by the local corporate media as completely routine and actually a good thing.

In a shocking display of the police state and the creeping push towards actual martial law, heavily armed military officers in black helicopters swooped through downtown Chicago in what was billed as a routine military exercise.

Up to three Blackhawk Helicopters flew in formation and separately around downtown office buildings and apartments for at least three hours.

Again in April 2012 and this time in Crookston, MN, fully armed troops were photographed walking through neighborhood streets.

Libertarian Review  – The photo shown at left was taken by a subscriber in the city of Crookston, MN from the front porch of her suburban home.  No, the men pictured aren’t from the local high school’s J.R.O.T.C sqaud – they are in fact trained soldiers serving in the Minnessota National Guard, Unit 2-136 CAB / B Company.

In May 2012 the local corporate media in Florida literally characterized the invasion of the military, complete with black helicopters and simulated explosions, onto local streets a, “cool tourist story.”

“I got a kick out of it that’s for sure.”

The examples listed above are just a few of the countless pieces of evidence that indicate a very real push towards a martial law type existence in America.

They also completely debunk the notion that only crazy conspiracy theorists think this is a possibility.

Another important fact to note is that this disgusting display of repeated military and globalist industrial complex propaganda is due to the fact that most media outlets are owned by 6 corporations with direct connections to all the major defense contractors.

Note: This is not an article attacking individual military members. There are many patriotic Americans within the U.S. military who are disgusted by the upper brass and their push to use them against their own people.

The upper levels of our military have been hijacked by the globalists and are being directed to slowly implement the use of  troops against Americans.

The only chances we have as a free people are the continued waking up of the populace and, perhaps more importantly, individual service members refusing to act against the people as the globalists move into their final phase of the destruction of America.

Syria Masses Tanks on Turkey Border as Tensions Soar

June 29, 2012

On Tuesday, Turkey deployed a number of tanks to their border with Syria, terming the nation a “clear and present threat” to the Turkish government’s security and vowing to shoot any Syrian troops perceived as “too close” to the border.

The tensions haven’t cooled since then, and Syria has now sent some 170 tanks to the Turkish border, just northwest of Aleppo, in an effort to fortify the area against a possible Turkish incursion. Free Syrian Army (FSA) leadership speculated that the tanks were planning to attack rebels in the area, but it doesn’t seem to be about them.

NATO War Council To Target Syria

by Rick Rozoff
Stop NATO
June 26, 2012

On Tuesday, June 26 Belgium time the North Atlantic Council, the highest governing body of the U.S.-dominated North Atlantic Treaty Organization military bloc, will take up the issue of Syria under provisions of its founding document that in the past ten and a half years have resulted in military deployments preparatory to and the subsequent waging of full-scale wars.

The ambassadors of the alliance’s 28 member states constitute the council, nations whose collective population is 900 million. Its founding members include three nuclear powers – the U.S., Britain and France – the first the self-proclaimed world’s sole military superpower.

Until the day before the meeting NATO was to take up a request by member Turkey to hold consultations under the terms of the North Atlantic (Washington) Treaty’s Article 4, which allows any member state to call on the entire alliance to respond to alleged threats to its territorial integrity and security.

On June 25, three days after a Turkish F-14 supersonic fighter-bomber was shot down over Syrian waters, Turkey announced that it was going to ask the military alliance to discuss its Article 5, which states that “an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all” and commits NATO allies to “assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force…”

Article 5 was invoked for the first and to date only time in October 2001 and is the basis for the deployment of troops from 28 NATO and 22 partner states to Afghanistan over the past decade.

Article 4 was first invoked on February 16, 2003, again by the North Atlantic Council and again in relation to Turkey, on the eve of the U.S. and British invasion of Iraq. So-called Operation Display Deterrence was launched as a result and five Patriot interceptor missile batteries, three Dutch and two American, and four Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) surveillance aircraft were deployed to Turkey in conjunction with NATO’s Integrated and Extended Air Defence System.

NATO, in its own words, deployed “1000 technically advanced and highly capable forces” to run the operation.

The first AWACS aircraft arrived on February 26 and three weeks later the bombardment and invasion of Iraq began. Although Iraq at the time had a population of approximately 25 million and Turkey 70 million, and although Turkey had one of the most formidable militaries in the region while Iraq’s had been weakened by the eight-year war with Iran in the 1980s, the U.S. and allied bombing campaign of 1991 and in the interim, and twelve years of crushing sanctions, NATO afterward praised Operation Display Deterrence as having “tested and proved the success of NATO’s military to respond immediately and with appropriate defensive force to a rapidly developing threat against a member of the Alliance.”

In what manner a fatally debilitated Iraq had presented Turkey with “a rapidly developing threat” was never specified.

The AWACS flew 100 missions and the Dutch Patriot batteries included Patriot Advanced Capability-2 missiles and “a more modern missile provided by Germany,” according to NATO.

The operation was concluded on May 3, 65 days after it began and 45 days after the invasion of Iraq. To provide an indication of what NATO will claim after its meeting on Syria, the then-Turkish ambassador to the bloc stated after the invoking of Article 4:

“I convey once again the most sincere gratitude of the Turkish people and Government for the Alliance solidarity shown in reinforcing the defence of my country in response to the latest crisis in Iraq. We are convinced that, through such an active and collective display of deterrence, NATO has not only extended a much-appreciated helping hand to one of its members in her hour of need, but also proven, once again, its credibility and relevance as the cornerstone of collective security in the Euro-Atlantic area.”

Turkey was then, as it is now, portrayed as the victim – in its “hour of need” moreover – and besieged and soon to be devastated Iraq as the aggressor.

Syria’s population now is much the same as Iraq’s was then and Turkey is now a nation almost three times as large. Syria is isolated and its military forces are small compared to its neighbor Turkey’s. The latter can count on the support of 27 allies, including most of the world’s major military powers. The U.S. has an estimated 90 B61 tactical nuclear weapons stationed at the Incirlik Air Base 35 miles from Turkey’s Mediterranean coast.

Activating the Article 5 mutual military assistance – in effect war – clause has been mentioned by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at least twice since April, on the first occasion over two months before the downing of the Turkish warplane last week.

On June 25 Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc announced that his nation “has made necessary applications with NATO regarding Article 4 and Article 5.”

According to the Associated Press, he added:

“It should be known that within legality we will of course use all rights granted under international law until the end. This also includes self-defense. This also includes retaliation many-fold. This includes all sanctions that can be applied to the aggressor state under international law. Turkey will not leave anything out on this issue…”

The U.S. and NATO have been itching for a pretext to attack Syria, and Turkey, the only NATO member to border the country, has always been the pretext which would be employed to justify military action against the Arab nation.

Last Friday’s incident and the NATO meeting following it signal the fourth act in a tragedy that the world community has precious little time to stop.

Turkey admits downed plane had strayed into Syrian airspace

by Roy Gutman

June 23, 2012

Turkey and Syria on Saturday pulled back from a possible confrontation over Syria’s downing of a Turkish fighter jet that had strayed across their common border into Syrian air space Friday. As their respective navies searched for the two missing Turkish crew, both sides said Friday’s clash had been accidental.

A spokesman for the Syrian foreign ministry said the military unit that shot down the Turkish F4Phantom interceptor had not realized the aircraft was Turkish and added: “There was no enmity against Turkey.” Spokesman Jihad Makdisi made the comment to the Turkish state news channel TRT, AP reported.

Earlier Saturday, Turkish President Abdullah Gul said the Turkish incursion into Syrian air space was not deliberate. “It is routine for jet fighters to sometimes fly in and out over borders,” he said. “These are not ill-intentioned things, but happen beyond control due to the jets’ speed.”

It wasn’t clear how or whether Turkey would retaliate. Gul said it was “not possible to cover over a thing like this,” and added: “whatever is necessary will be done.” Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s had said Friday night that after completing an investigation, Turkey would “decisively take the next steps.”

Using the TPP to Renegotiate and Expand NAFTA

by Dana Gabriel

June 25, 2012

Both Canada and Mexico have been invited to join the U.S., along with other countries already engaged in negotiations which will deepen trade and economic ties within the Asia-Pacific region. Such a deal would surpass NAFTA in size and scope. The U.S. led talks which have been criticized for their secretive nature, could be used to update aspects of existing trade pacts among member nations. This would provide the perfect opportunity for a backdoor renegotiation of NAFTA without officially having to open it back up.

After expressing interest in joining trade talks back in November 2011, NAFTA partners have been invited to join the U.S. backed Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) which also includes Australia, Brunei, Chile, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam. U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk welcomed both Mexico and Canada into the TPP fold. He noted that, “Mexico has assured the United States that it is prepared to conclude a high-standard agreement that will include issues that were not covered in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).” He added, “Inviting Canada to join the TPP negotiations presents a unique opportunity for the United States to build upon this already dynamic trading relationship. Through TPP, we are bringing the relationship with our largest trading partner into the 21st century.” A joint statement by the U.S. and Canada acknowledged that, “The TPP presents an opportunity to conclude a high standard agreement that will build on the commitments of NAFTA.”

The Council of Canadians who continue to be vocal opponents of NAFTA and other trade deals that follow the same flawed template, are strongly against Canada’s entry into the TPP. Its national chairperson, Maude Barlow warned that this, “could force Canada to change its drug policies, its copyright policies, its environmental and public health rules – all without going through the normal parliamentary process.” The organization cautioned how, “TPP negotiations could mean up-front concessions in a number of areas, including intellectual property rights, where the U.S. is making considerable demands on TPP member countries that will undermine access to essential medicines so that its multinational drug firms can increase profits.” They also emphasized that, “Supply management, which guarantees fair wages and stable prices for farmers in non-exporting sectors, is too valuable to Canada to sacrifice on a negotiating table.” Others have pointed out that it is important as a buy-local program, as well as key to Canada’s food security and food sovereignty. The Council of Canadians maintains that, “the TPP is by and large a NAFTA renegotiation but on U.S. President Obama’s terms.”

Not surprisingly, the Canadian Council of Chief Executives, an organization that lobbies the government on behalf of the country’s largest corporations, welcomed the announcement that Canada has been invited to join the TPP talks. Its President and CEO John Manley stated that, “By signing on to the TPP, the federal government has taken an historic leap toward securing Canada’s long-term strategic interests in the Asia-Pacific region.” The U.S. Chamber of Commerce have also applauded Canada and Mexico’s entry into the TPP. Its President and CEO Thomas Donohue argued that, “negotiating the TPP together is an excellent strategic decision for North America.” Back in January, the Council of the Americas explained how, “it makes little sense for the United States to enter into potentially significant trade arrangements with countries in the Pacific region without our NAFTA partners.” They view the TPP as a “promising vehicle to support the updating of our bilateral and trilateral trading relationships within North America to the high standards of twenty-first century free-trade agreements.”

In his article, Will invitation to join TPP talks lead to NAFTA 2.0?, Peter Clark one of Canada’s leading international trade strategists concluded that, “A successful TPP would allow NAFTA to essentially be re-opened without the optics of it actually being re-opened.” He went on to say, “The business leaders in all three NAFTA countries, as strong supporters of TPP invitations to Canada and Mexico, understand that after nearly 20 years, modernization of NAFTA is needed. For rules of origin, supply chain management and manufacturing integration.” Clark stressed that, “All Canadians should be clear about this – TPP is the negotiation of NAFTA 2.0 and it could have major implications for Canada-USA trade relations.” Meanwhile, both countries are implementing the Beyond the Border Perimeter Security and Economic Competitiveness Action Plan which has been described as the most significant steps forward in U.S.-Canada cooperation since NAFTA. Christopher Sands of the Hudson Institute observed how, “The TPP negotiating agenda is at once similar to the bilateral agenda that Canada and the United States are pursuing, and also more ambitious and multilateral.”

In May, the TPP held its twelfth round of negotiations with the next set of talks scheduled to take place in San Diego, California from July 2-10. So far, there has been a real lack of transparency, but what is clear is that the TPP seeks to go beyond other trade agreements. According to a leaked text by Public Citizen, it would expand on the investor privileges found in NAFTA, granting corporations more power and further threatening the sovereign rights of member nations. In the meantime, the U.S. continues to spearhead TPP negotiations as a way of countering growing Chinese influence. The door is open for other countries to join which is why it is considered to be a stepping stone to a larger free trade area of the Asia-Pacific and an important part of the international corporate globalization agenda.

Trade deals such as NAFTA and now the TPP are being used to smuggle through a new set of transnational corporate rights, trapping nations in a web of treaties that further trump their own laws. All too often, these agreements fail to deliver on the promise of prosperity and only serve to accelerate the path towards economic enslavement. Globalization has meant sacrificing self-sufficiency and sovereignty for foreign dependency which is a sure path to world government.

I Talk to Dr. Ali Mohamad Editor in chief of http://www.syria-tribune.com/en/ that can verify the authenticity a video showing the moment the The turkish F-4 was shot down.

Full Footage here uploaded on the day: http://youtu.be/g0W4QqzaGgc
Higher resolution images can be seen here: http://s1173.photobucket.com/albums/r597/Syriangirl/

The footage shows that low range anti-air batteries were used as apposed to long range surface to air missiles. Although Turkish president abdullah Gul already admitted the Jet violated Syrian airspace Al jazeera and other media are now claiming the Jet was in international airspace . Spokesman for the Syrian foreign Ministry Dr.Jihad Makdissi, said in a press interview a few hours ago that Jet was within Syrian airspace and that Anti-air batteries were used and this video along with Dr.Ali Mohamad clearly supports this claim.
