Main Stream Media Using Paywall/Metering System’s A Victory For Alternative Outlets Or The Beginning Of the Internet 2?

Nearly one year ago, we noticed that the Hamilton Spectator had begun charging a monthly fee to access their online content. Offering the ability to view six online news articles a month for free with the option to subscribe to their publication to view more. The Waterloo Region Record, Globe and Mail and National Post have also implemented the same “paywall” systems to their websites.
The parent corporations, Torstar and Postmedia have also shut down YourMississaugaBiz and YourHamiltonBiz. Both those websites where short lived “paywalled” small business news websites. Bob Hepburn, a spokesman for Torstar stated: “It’s a business decision based on the economic conditions,” Source
As of today Canada’s largest main stream propaganda outlet, the Toronto Star has begun the “paywalled” or metered access system to their website. “This marks a major transition for the Star that will help us provide, in print and online, the best and most comprehensive package of news and information in Canada,” Star publisher John Cruickshank wrote in a brief article in the paper.
The first month of digital access costs 99 cents, then $9.99 a month plus HST after that, but will be free for home subscribers who meet certain conditions. Source
I do enjoy the spin that John Cruickshank is pushing as the reason for this change, but let’s face the facts. In the era of independent and alternative online news, offering information for free. The main stream is economically failing. The CBC, Sun news, and scores of other main stream propaganda outlets are barely keeping a float. Mostly relying on government subsidies to survive.
Are these new fee’s are nothing more than the three corporations who own all main stream media in Canada Source, attempting to maintain their monopoly because of the huge rise of independent news outlets?
Our could it be a step into the direction of the “internet 2″ system. Which you can learn about in the below video.
At this point it is to early to say if this is a move towards independent media replacing the propaganda centers, or a move to more corporate control. But one thing is for sure. We will remain as vigilant as ever to bring you all of the developing information.

“Smart Dust” is not the pearly white powder that makes Columbian drug lords rich. It’s more like the governments way of keeping tabs on the Columbian drug lords and anyone else they want to spy on.
If you think I have snorted too much blow and lost my mind. Think again!
The” Smart Dust” we are referring to is more like a mad mans wet dream. “Smart Dust” is an emerging technology made up from tiny sensors or “motes”. Eventually, these devices will be smart enough to talk with other sensors yet small enough to fit on the head of a pin. Each mote is a tiny computer with a power supply, one more sensors and communications systems (HSU,Kahn and Pister 1998.)
I don’t know about you but I bet the sheeple will think this technology is here to just keep us safe!
Just knowing that we have airplanes dumping shit in our skies that you can see literally fall to the ground and a constant buzzing in my ears. Questioning the fact if we don’t already have smart dust everywhere would be elementary at this point.

In NYC, people protested the NSA spying program among other government violations of the 4th amendment such as Stop and Frisk and the NYPD’s surveillance of Muslims.

Federal court: no warrant is required for law enforcement to track your location via cell phone records

A federal appeals court has ruled that law enforcement agencies are not required to obtain a warrant in order to track your location through your cell phone records.
This is hardly a surprising decision given that other judges have said that cell phone users have “no legitimate expectation of privacy,” some in the house have said no warrant should be required to acquire geolocation data, and the Obama administration claims location data is not protected by the Fourth Amendment.
The Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans supported this trend earlier the week by overturning a federal judge in Houston, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The court ruled that cell phone records are the property of your carrier and thus are not protected by the Fourth Amendment’s probable cause standard.
However, authorities must still get a court order in order to carry out a search of your cell phone records, though the standards are much lower than those required for search warrants.
Those searches are now capable of tracking your recent movements since location data is included.
“We understand the cell phone users may reasonably want their location information to remain private,” the Appeals Court stated, according to an Associated Press report.
“The Fourth Amendment, safeguarded by the courts, protects only reasonable expectations of privacy,” the court ruled.
Unsurprisingly, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which participated in the case by filing legal briefs, called the ruling “troubling.”
“This ruling is troubling because, as we and the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) argued, only a warrant standard fully protects Americans’ privacy interests in their locations and movements over time,” the ACLU said in a statement, which was also posted in part by CNET.
“Cell phone companies store records on where each of us have been, often stretching back for years,” the ACLU continued. “That location information is sensitive and can reveal a great deal — what doctors people visit, where they spend the night, who their friends are, and where they worship.”
“Given the sensitivity of these facts, law enforcement agents should have to demonstrate to a judge that they have a good reason to believe that they will turn up evidence of wrongdoing before gaining access to information that can paint a detailed picture of where a person has been over time,” the ACLU argued.

Jail sent back mail that I tried to send Terry about the false flag Canada day terrorist arrest. So I decided to call up the jail and ask them why they wouldn’t allow it to enter. Apparently people are not allowed to send pictures to inmates.
