Cody Wilson Speaks Out on Campaign to Dismantle Bitcoin Foundation

Anarchist activist Cody Wilson has officially launched his candidacy for the upcoming Bitcoin Foundation board elections, and reaffirmed his intention to try and disband the organization from within if successful.

Wilson nominated himself with a post on the foundation’s forums on 20th December and has also launched a website to support his campaign.

A staunch opponent of bitcoin regulation or centralization, Wilson is also best known for co-founding Defense Distributed, a donor-funded nonprofit organization that designs and distributes plans for the 3D-printed ‘Liberator’ pistol and ‘Ghost Gunner‘ CNC milling machine.

He was also part of the founding team of DarkWallet, the project to make bitcoin transaction anonymization easy for everyday users.

“I will run on a platform of the complete dissolution of the Bitcoin Foundation and will begin and end every single one of my public statements with that message,” Wilson said in November when he first announced his intention to run.

Notably, the Bitcoin Foundation‘s November announcement that it would wind down its education, outreach and public policy efforts to focus on developing bitcoin’s software core appears not to have weakened his campaign.

Wilson’s recently posted manifesto also does not hold back on its combative rhetoric and disdain for the foundation, with its introduction that states:

“This Bitcoin Foundation … was always an embarrassing exercise in bad faith and state philosophy. It was always a vessel for frauds and second-rate minds to collude against the public. I invite you now to its ritual sacrifice.”

Elections will be held 13-19th February for the individual board seats being vacated by outgoing executive director Jon Matonis and current chief scientist Gavin Andresen. Election committee chair Brian Goss posted an acknowledgement that nominations including Wilson’s had been received. Official confirmations will be posted mid-January.

The foundation board also voted in November to retire the Founding Member seat of chairman Peter Vessenes, to be replaced with an International Chapter Director Seat to represent non-US affiliates. The goal is to eventually have a board 100% elected by foundation members.

Structure is the problem

Speaking to CoinDesk, Wilson said his complaint is not with any individual or group within the foundation, but the structure of the organization itself.

The problem with the Bitcoin Foundation goes all the way back to its inception and original mission, Wilson said, adding:

“The best way to help your business is to be part of a trade group and lobby Congress for preferential or beneficial regulation.”

Rather than forming a body to standardize and protect an open-source technology a la the Linux Foundation, he said, the Bitcoin Foundation gave itself a wider role with lobbying power and creation of global policy strategies.

Incoming executive director Patrick Murck promised a new era of openness and consultation with the foundation’s constituents, and conducted surveys into what members wanted most. This led to the promise to focus only on bitcoin’s technology.

This refocus on development only, however, is superficial and there is no meaningful break with its current incarnation, Wilson believes. He notes that public statements have not changed the foundation’s by-laws, its established channels of communication or its affiliate programs around the world.

Even if current leaders are sincere, those in the near or longer-term future could simply come in and pick up the threads previous lobbying efforts have left in place, he said.

Why are feminists promoting a movement that is incredibly harmful to women?

The ‘fat acceptance movement’ wants society to accept and celebrate obesity, with some fat pride activists even calling for critics of obesity to be arrested for hate speech.

This bizarre new branch of third wave feminism only encourages women to live terribly unhealthy lives, but it is being legitimized by social justice warriors and the media to further their real agenda of social engineering.

A Timeline: Where’d Paris Shooters Get Their Weapons?

by Tony Cartalucci
Activist Post
Jan 7, 2015

Heavily armed, well-trained gunmen executed what appears to be a well-planned attack in Paris, France, killing 12, including 2 police officers. Where did these terrorists get their weapons, training, political backing, funds, and inspiration? A short timeline featuring news stories from 2011 to 2014 helps explain how France’s recent national tragedy was a direct result of its own insidious, callus, terroristic foreign policy that has visited this very same carnage seen in Paris, upon the people of Libya and Syria, a thousand fold.

Image: France has been arming, funding, backing, and exploiting armies of terrorists from North Africa to the Middle East as part of NATO’s larger bid to use Al Qaeda to overthrow governments and rearrange regions to better align to their hegemonic agenda. Now these same extremists are running rampant in France’s own streets – either as a form of blowback, or as a means to manipulate public perception as NATO did with Operation Gladio during the Cold War.

2011 – France supplying weapons to Libyan rebels, London Telegraph:

A French military spokesman, Colonel Thierry Burkhard, said it had provided “light arms such as assault rifles” for civilian communities to “protect themselves against Col Gaddafi”.

But the decision to arm the rebels is a further move towards direct involvement in the land war on top of the air war against Col Muammar Gaddafi. The Nafusa rebels have come closest to breaking through to Tripoli itself of any of the front lines of the conflict, while three months of Nato bombing have failed to dislodge Col Gaddafi from power.

Le Figaro, the French newspaper which first reported the air drops, said the shipment included rifles, machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades, along with Milan anti-tank missiles.

2011 – Libyan rebel commander admits his fighters have al-Qaeda links, London Telegraph:

Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, the Libyan rebel leader, has said jihadists who fought against allied troops in Iraq are on the front lines of the battle against Muammar Gaddafi’s regime.

2012 – France to push for arming Syria’s opposition coalition, the BBC:

France’s foreign minister has said he will discuss supplying arms to the Syrian opposition coalition with European partners.

The government plans to push for a relaxation of the EU arms embargo to Syria to enable “defensive arms” to reach opposition fighters.

2013 – Syria crisis: France and Britain move a step closer to arming rebels, the London Guardian:

France and Britain have moved a step closer to arming the opposition to the Assad regime in a radical move aimed at tipping the balance in the two-year civil war while also ignoring European policy on Syria.

The French president, François Hollande, went into an EU summit in Brussels with a dramatic appeal for Europe to join Paris and London in lifting a European arms embargo, but the sudden policy shift was certain to run into stiff German opposition.

2013 – Syrian rebels pledge loyalty to al-Qaeda, USA Today:

A Syrian rebel group’s April pledge of allegiance to al-Qaeda’s replacement for Osama bin Laden suggests that the terrorist group’s influence is not waning and that it may take a greater role in the Western-backed fight to topple Syrian President Bashar Assad.

The pledge of allegiance by Syrian Jabhat al Nusra Front chief Abou Mohamad al-Joulani to al-Qaeda leader Sheik Ayman al-Zawahri was coupled with an announcement by the al-Qaeda affiliate in Iraq, the Islamic State of Iraq, that it would work with al Nusra as well.

2014 – France delivered arms to Syrian rebels, Hollande confirms, France 24:

President Francois Hollande said on Thursday that France had delivered weapons to rebels battling the Syrian regime of Bashar al-Assad “a few months ago.”

France Isn’t the Only One

The cartoonish nature of France first being reported to give weapons to “rebels” before these “rebels” are reported to be, in fact, Al Qaeda is not simply France’s bad luck. It is part of NATO’s very intentional, vast network of global state-sponsored terrorism. It would be reported that terrorists armed by the US in Syria with antitank missiles sided with Al Qaeda franchise and US State Department listed foreign terrorist organization, Al Nusra.

VIDEO — Joshua Blakeney: “Canada’s Constitution Not Worth the Paper it’s Written on”

Non-Aligned Media
Dec 11, 2014

Having spent most of the day penning an article on violations of civil liberties in Canada—injustices enabled by the Supreme Court of Canada—it was timely for Press TV to ask me to comment on the latest questionable verdict rendered by Canada’s politicized Supreme Court.

0390c483-6b89-4150-930b-e22f01a1deddI noted that while Canada’s Constitution makes reference to lofty principles such as the right to freedom of speech and the right to be protected from unreasonable search and seizure, that in recent history Supreme Court political-appointees had been rendering constitutional absurd laws which are the antithesis of the spirit of the Constitution.

This, I noted, was exemplified in the Whatcott ruling in which Judge Marshal Rothstein ruled that “not all truthful statements should be free from restriction”. This, he claimed, was compatible with Section 2 of the Constitution which defines freedom of expression, freedom of belief, freedom of thought and freedom of the press as “fundamental freedoms”.

CHEMTRAILS EXPOSED: Global Geoengineering PsyOps Documented

Shawn Helton
Dec 31, 2014

Jay Dyer
21st Century Wire

From Chemtrails to Directed Energy Weapons, the System is Set on Total Control…

There has been much speculation in the last few years as to the authenticity of the claims of “chemtrail” spraying of the ionosphere by secretive groups for unknown reasons, with such claims generally receiving the scorn of tinfoil hat insanity. Distinguished from “contrails”, the normal water and ice crystal formations that result from aircraft exhaust vapor, “chemtrails” is the popular name for aerosol spraying by planes in different layers of the atmosphere under the cover of numerous global geoengineering programs.

Is this possible? Could there be widespread global aerosol spraying programs? Not only this possible, it’s already being done, and has been going on for decades. With origins in World War II cloud-seeding, the development of weather modification and mass geoengineering programs is no longer even covert, with numerous papers, programs and examples now made public.

With this in mind, it is somewhat shocking the number of trolls and deniers that exist, telling us daily these are fictions of paranoid conspiracists, while any of the above notions can be easily verified with Google and a few minutes of research. Of course, this is not likely to happen, as the public has never heard of the Royal Society, much less “geoengineering,” since Kim Kardashian’s butt is a much more accurate weathervane of the tides of public interest (a very big weathervane).

“Geoengineering the Climate: Science, Governance and Uncertainty”

In this article, I will document several papers from officialdom, including scientific journals and white papers that demonstrate the programs are real. Not only will we see they are real, we will in fact see these programs integrate with one another and provide the establishment the potential for tremendously disastrous social engineering effects, as well as environmental dangers that result from such dark pragmatic scientistic ends.

Our first document under survey is the Royal Society report “Geoengineering the Climate: Science, Governance and Uncertainty,” a 2009 paper that details the various potentialities for numerous approaches to curbing CO2 emissions, naturally tied in with population reduction and a return to neo-feudalistic model of global ecomonic realignment.

Given that the United Nations was established by Royal Society backing, the “Agenda 21″ implementation we have heard much about in the last few decades is part of a much larger strategy foisted upon the global community by these very shadow players. I have detailed previously the connection between mass depopulation, economic overhauls and realignment and the so-called dangers of resource-based economies being directed into a staged crisis by the corporate elite.
