At least seven Israeli airstrikes hit Gaza Strip — video included

PressTV

The Israeli regime has carried out several airstrikes on the besieged Gaza Strip, but there have been no immediate reports of casualties.

According to Palestinian sources, Israeli warplanes launched at least seven airstrikes in the north and south of the coastal enclave on Tuesday.

They were the second such attacks in recent weeks.

A spokesman for the Israeli army claimed that the airstrikes were conducted in retaliation for one rocket that had been fired from Gaza into the occupied Palestinian territories earlier in the day.

Last week, the Tel Aviv regime carried out two airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military frequently bombs the besieged Gaza Strip, claiming the attacks are being conducted for defensive purposes. However, disproportionate force is always used, in violation of international law, and civilians are often killed or injured.

The 1.7 million Palestinians of the Gaza Strip are living in what is called the world’s largest open-air prison as Israel retains full control of the airspace, territorial waters, and border crossings of the territory.

Gaza has been blockaded by the Israeli regime since June 2007, a situation which has caused a decline in the standard of living, unprecedented levels of unemployment, and unrelenting poverty.

Transhuman: Radical Life Extension in the Quest For Immortality — video included

The question is, Do you want to live forever? In the following short documentary you will learn about the typical worldview of Transhumanists. It is, in my opinion, philosophically and technologically interesting to explore, but ultimately naive and dismissive of the concepts surrounding consciousness and the soul.

Perhaps, the most troubling aspect of Transhumanism not addressed here is that not all of it will be elective. In fact, it might be downright selective. From DNA nanobots to the entire restructuring of the human genome, the corporate state aligned with the medical-military-industrial complex might demand that we are “optimized” and “efficient” in order for us to partake in society at a cost-effective level.

It is a concept that has been espoused by elites before.

For background, please watch Aaron Dykes’ wonderful historical review of the Fabian Society and their specific brand of socialism; they are self-professed Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing under the design of oligarchical collectivism. As Dykes notes: in the end, it’s all totalitarianism. And the endgame is that we will pay for permission to use the Earth, and perhaps even our own bodies.

This is not to deny that science holds amazing wonders for the benefit of humanity, or that we should stop reaching for the stars. However, it’s paramount that we always return to the question of who is in control of the technology. If we look at what has happened thus far, science has been hoarded and twisted for the benefit of the few.

Moreover, the vastness of what is being proposed by Transhumanists is worthy of the utmost caution, for the simple fact that we have seen much lesser systems of computation and science being rolled out well before safeguards have been properly tested. So far, the negatives are rapidly outweighing the positives.

Nevertheless, there are some tentative indications that the drastic reduction in cost and the open-source nature of the “new tech” could provide the perfect counterweight that the individual needs to break free from the ever-tightening grip of technocracy. But we have to assert ourselves and take control of our decisions and free will before those who desire control the most will make our decisions for us, while dismissing free will as nothing more than superstition.

Lastly, as noted in the video, the rate of technological development doubles every 18 months. We haven’t got long to answer the essential questions of what it means to be human.

There is only one thing certain in life: The future is coming.

VIDEO — Nuclear Regulatory Commission Strips Whistleblower Protection

Global Research TV
November 14, 2013

In sworn testimony in Monroe, Michigan, the NRC admitted that it has stripped whistleblower protection from the licensing of new nuclear power plants.

By flip-flopping on what it means to be an applicant, the whistleblowers who are truly looking to protect the public health and safety are having their lives and livelihoods jeopardized.

Fairewinds Chief Engineer Arnie Gundersen discusses what this means as utilities look for short cuts and cheaper ways to build new nukes.

VIDEO — ‘Fragguccino’ blows up airport security theater

NWO Truth
November 16, 2013

In a bit less than eight minutes, a YouTube contributor demonstrated how futile the “no liquids” security policy in airports may be.

In a video on YouTube, contributor Evan “treefort” Booth at Terminal Cornucopia takes common items found in most airport terminals at retail kiosks and creates an explosive from them.

Using a stainless steel coffee mug, a Li-ion AA battery, a small canister of Axe Body Spray, a condom, and a bottle of water, the poster creates a “Fragguccino” that explodes when thrown. (Read more…) Water contained in the condom breaks, allowing the battery to heat up enough inside the mug to ignite the pressurized body spray canister.

Booth, a self-described “independent security researcher,” presented the video as an example of research into the possibility of common items sold in airports after the security screening used to build lethal weapons. “All of these findings have been reported to the Department of Homeland Security (TSA) to help them better detect these types of threats,” Booth wrote on his site.

Watch the construction of a Fragguccino below.

Drone crashes into Navy ship injuring 2 in California

An American drone has malfunctioned and crashed into a guided missile cruiser off the coast of Southern California, causing two injuries, say officials. The incident happened while the vessel was testing a combat weapons system.

Lt. Lenaya Rotklein of the US Third Fleet told AP the two sailors injured in the crash were being treated for minor burns. The remotely-controlled craft reportedly veered out of control during an operation to test the USS Chancellorsville’s combat weapons system on Saturday afternoon. Rotklein said the drone was being used to test the ship’s radar.

The guided missile carrier is now heading back to the San Diego Naval Base, where officials will assess the extent of the damage. In response to the accident, the Navy says it is opening an investigation to examine the possible causes.

This is the second drone crash to occur this week in the US after an unmanned craft malfunctioned and came down over Lake Ontario on Tuesday, prompting the suspension of all drone flights in the Central New York area.

The military was unable to say why the $4 million Reaper drone lost control and crashed, but reported there was no damage to civilian property or injuries.
